The only good legal advice a cop ever gave me is "you're going to need a lawyer.'"
You're going to need a lawyer.

Re: Reality TV Star Convicted for "Sawed-Off" Shotgun
One fundamental truth: REALITY TV ISN'T. I thought it was immensely humorous watching one of the early episodes of Moonshiners and notice that the back of the window of Tim's struck was being pixelated out. After some rewinding with the DVR I caught a shot where they missed doing it and found out he...

Re: Virginia to end CCW reciprocity with 24 states
Soooooo frustrating. I go to NC all the time! I hate democrats and carpet baggers [ Post made via Mobile Device ] http://vagunforum.net/images/mobile.png NC is not on the hit list because NC honors your Virginia (and everybody else's) CHP unconditionally (i.e., they don't demand reciprocity nor any...

Re: Cathy Lanier Is Highly Confused About Concealed Carry
Actually, technically while much of DC is federal property, the entire district is NOT.
Congress however, even since the imposition of 'home rule', meddles incessantly with the operation of the District government and even to some extent Northern Virginia (don't get me started on the airports).

Cry wolf. Too much of this stuff and when someone really is acting dangerous with the firearm, the police won't bother.

Agreed, the loading lever (that thing bending down where the ejector would be on a modern revolver) and the slide hammer are the indicating factors.

Always reminds me of the old All In the Family exchange: Gloria Bunker-Stivic: Daddy, did you know that sixty percent of the people murdered in this country in the last ten years were killed by guns? Re: NRA Article - best I've read!
I read American Rifleman from cover to cover and then follow up with the links to a lot of the articles they don't print. This one was one of the better Constitutional law pieces they've done. Actually right to the point without the "they're coming to take our guns so you better send more money...

This is why I could never be in law enforcement, dealing with idiots like this. First, the Articles don't say what she is asserting. Oddly, the intent of Article IV of the Articles is very much the same as Article IV of the Constitution, the priviliges and immunities and full faith and credit. The A...

Don't trust either party. The politicians speaking are either fools or lying, either way they are wrong. Neither is desirable.

KSA 51-5228 doesn't say you can use deadly force just because someone is fleeing. One must believe that t such force is necessary to prevent death or great bodily harm to such person or another.

Re: After Kansas Signed A Controversial Gun Law the Unthinkable
Kudos for this man breaking the law no matter what he believes his "instincts" are. If he'd shot the robbers while they were in the store, that would be justifiable. Chasing after them threatening to shoot them is what we call assault with a deadly weapon and can get you in big trouble reg...

No, it's chowing down on cake and potato chips that does it.

Re: Was Dylan Roof really convicted of a felony?
No, he was only arrested. What hasn't been determined in the press noise is whether he was actually indicted. If he was under indictment, the check should have failed.
