Re: Personal Sovereignty
I recently picked up The Constituion in Exile by Judge Napolitano. So far it has been an excellent read. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for more from him.

Both of ours came in the mail today. 14 days total from the time of submission. Definitely not as bad a wait as some folks I know indicated

Re: Well I finally did it
congrats kinetic, welcome to the club :friends: gunderwood absolutely nailed it on the source of of the poor feeding issues. What may also help is looking for HP ammo that has a more rounded tip to it. Speer Gold Dots have worked well for me in that regard. I have found that most people I take shoot...

Re: Pelican Case Foam Cutting Project Complete
just a little caution - be careful about long term storage in foam lined anything. The foam can trap humidity and promote surface rust. Those cases, as I understand, are really intended for short term storage, like going to and from a range. But, this is what i understand, so YMMV. I can attest to ...

Re: Pelican Case Foam Cutting Project Complete
Looks great! Were you using a different foam than what originally came in the case? I was under the impression that the Pelican cases came with foam that you could break out little squares to fit what you wanted in them. I know that's how they were with the equipment cases we had at my last job. Als...

Re: Now comes the wait
Yes it was for a resident permit. If it takes the full 45 days I should get it mid March. From others I have talked to the turn around is usually 3 weeks, so hopefully we should get them around the 20th of February.

Now comes the wait
Well, yesterday my wife and I dropped off our applications for a CHP. The lady that processed our paperwork said we were the 125th and 126th applicants they have had since the first of the year. I definitely think that's a good sign
Now we just have to wait through that backlog.

Specifically, the popular provisions in the legislation would: Require background checks for every gun purchase (74% NRA member support); Require background checks on gun shop employees (79% NRA member support); Prohibit individuals on the terrorist watch list from purchasing firearms (71% NRA memb...

Re: Are WE going to act or sit back and let it all happen?
Andy, Three cheers for your insightful assessment of this situation, I have contacted my elected state and federal representatives to make my voice heard. But I will wager that precious few on this forum have done the same. Some are too busy complaining about websites crashing as they attempt to bu...

Re: Springfield XD 9mm 3" Sub-compact
@Dragonzfury050: I hadn't considered SA's EMP models, but they look like handsome little guns! Only downsides for my intended use is that it's half the bang-bang pills for twice the price. :( Maybe around tax-return time I'll consider one, but the XD's $430-500ish price tag is a whole lot more appe...

Re: Springfield XD 9mm 3" Sub-compact
Have you taken a look at the EMP models from Springfield Armory? Comes in 9mm and .40 and is in a smaller 1911 frame. Conceals well, isn't as heavy as a duty size weapon, and IMHO just plain looks better than the XDs, Glocks, or other offering. It's only a single stack, but some of the other offers ...

Re: Conceal Carry A Beretta 92FS/M9???
I carry a 1911 in a Milt Sparks VMII just about all day everyday. I think your biggest issue is going to be finding a holster that works for you. I tried a couple before getting to the VMII, but they just weren't what I was looking for. Also, be sure to get a good sturdy belt. The only other thing I...

Re: The movement to secede has started.
Rather, it's to point out how silly this notion of secession is. Folks, we've been there before, and it is just doggone silly. Yes, this "we're seceding from the Union" talk is laughable. Seriously. The subject is in no way "silly" or "laughable". It's about as serious...

Re: For some strange reason
Romney isn't perfect, but he is not evil. Those who voted third-party helped evil prevail. May God have mercy on your souls. Or, as we say out here in the sticks: Well, bless your heart... I never said he was. I said he was the wrong candidate. As for "helping evil prevail", the establish...
