Re: Reloading Supplies

I went to the gunshow this morning hoping to get everything I needed and the only thing I could find was primers. Since I am getting into reloading I didnt want to commit to 1000 of anything off hand. I just got off of the phone with Bobs and they do have what I wanted. Guess I will be heading down ...

Reloading Supplies

I am looking for a local shop that has powder primers and some other odds and ends for reloading. I would hate to drive all the way up to Richmond to get my stuff. I dont think anybody in the yorktown area has anything but I am wondering if there are shops across the water that might have the stuff ...

Re: Had an intruder the other night.

I thought I had the flu closed. Supposedly they are working on getting a cap installed. If they dont do something soon I will see if I can find an extension ladder and get one my self.

Re: Had an intruder the other night.

I have seen him creeping around before looking for stuff to get into. The wife found out that racoon dander is similar to cat dander. She went to get some work stuff from her desk and then rubber her eye. It pretty much swelled shut so a good cleaning of the room is in order. He really wasn't aggres...

Had an intruder the other night.

We just got into bed and about to goto sleep when we heard noise down stairs. We are renting so both initially thought it was the house, but it didn't stop. The wife told me to get my glasses on, grab the gun and go see whats going on. I announced my self and my intentions but the noise didn't stop ...

Re: Competition Pistol - Need Suggestions

I thought about the CZ as well. I love the feel of it but never shot one my self. My issue with that is the grip being too large for my wife.

Initially she likes the look of the M&P but wants to handle one to see how it fits.

You guys have an opinion on the FN FNX-9?

Competition Pistol - Need Suggestions

The wife and I have been doing practical pistol at the local gun club and shes been using the gun that will eventually be her carry gun. Its a single stack 9mm so so has to do more mag changes which slow her down. Currently they do not break up the shooters in different categories so people with unl...

Re: Penninsula Gun Club?

I think we need stickers so we can identify each other. I'm a LGC member, too. I went to the new member orientation about a month ago and received two LGC stickers. Maybe you can get them at the business office? Now that I am a member I wouldn't mind meeting up with some other guys for some shooting.

Re: Order your 100W light bulbs before they are illegal

As Recerenddel said incandescent are full spectrum as are halogens. The light they give off is much more natural than LEDs. I might have to stock up on incan bulbs but for certain things I dont mind LEDs. I have designed and built high powered bicycle lights that I love to use but home ican is where...

Re: P220 -first impressions

I am down in the tidewater area so No VA is a bit of a ways.

I need to get mine out to the range some more, I have only put about 100 rounds through it since I got it.

I would love to try the trigger out before I send my 220 off. Its great without the SRT so I can only imagine.

Re: P220 -first impressions

Your 220 has the short reset trigger (SRT)?
I need to send my 220 to Sig to get serviced and new night sights. While its there I will have them install the SRT.

Re: P220 -first impressions

I picked up a 220 not too long ago and love it. When at the range and taking your time you really notice the double action to single action difference in the trigger. I started doing a local practical pistol comp on the weekends. When under pressure (at least for me right now) there is no difference.

Re: Need a rifle rest

Plastic BBs as in airsoft BBs?
The poly pellets are more dense so it would be a sturdier bag but not as heavy as one with lead shot. They are the beads used in beanie baby type things. Have some weight and density but not too much.

Re: Need a rifle rest

I was speaking with a friend and found out he has a Harris sitting around that he was not using. He was supposed to send it out today, hopefully itl be here by the weekend.

I was looking at the fillable bags and was wondering if you guys knew where to get poly pellets.

Need a rifle rest

The wife bought a Savage bolt action 22 and wants to shoot it. I joined LGC which have nice cement benches but she needs some kind of rest for the gun. We have been looking at bipods and some of the more expensive Caldwell bench rests. But being a 22 and her/our first rife I think the bench rest is ...
