Reloading Supplies

Post by CrackerKorean »

I am looking for a local shop that has powder primers and some other odds and ends for reloading. I would hate to drive all the way up to Richmond to get my stuff. I dont think anybody in the yorktown area has anything but I am wondering if there are shops across the water that might have the stuff that I need.

The Armory on Indian River Road ( http://www.the-armory.com/ ) has some powder and other stuff, but call ahead to confirm they have what you want. Likewise with Bob's in downtown Norfolk. A little closer to Yorktown, Bass Pro carries some reloading stuff, and you can see what they have on Basspro.com. Also, lots of supplies at the SGK gun show at the Hampton Convention Center this weekend.

I went to the gunshow this morning hoping to get everything I needed and the only thing I could find was primers. Since I am getting into reloading I didnt want to commit to 1000 of anything off hand. I just got off of the phone with Bobs and they do have what I wanted. Guess I will be heading down there next weekend.

It is like 5 bucks for a pack of primers from Bass Pro. I think you can get 1000 for $33 at Bobs. I buy a pack from Bass Pro every once in a while though. Only because I live near by. The Armory on Indian River has the best prices I have found for powder though. I bought a pound of H110 there a few weeks ago. It was about $20 there. I think Bobs is closer to $25. Bullet prices suck everywhere though. I buy most of my bullets online.
