Re: Any Metro Richmond LEO's here?

Also, it's worth noting that the portable breathalyzer isn't admissible in a court of law. It just gives probable cause to bring you in for the real breathalyzer (assuming you blow positive, anyway). I speak from experience, on this one. I'm with ya, my big thing is mainly just wanting to see if my...

Probably, but they wouldn't have the Police quality breathalyzer on hand!

Any Metro Richmond LEO's here?

OK WEIRD request but I'll give you the speed version. I do a Ketogenic Diet (mainly fat, like Atkins) which long terms produces Ketones in your breath in the form of Acetone. This is an alcohol, from some horror stories I've heard most alcohol detecting equipment can't distinguish between them and j...

Re: Driver's licenses and buying a gun in VA

Wouldn't have given them my money, even if I had to pay more money somewhere else and I'd let them know that. That's the same powertrip BS that bartenders sometimes pull when they get an expired license for an ID. Like the license expiring somehow changes your birthdate.

Re: Glock 43: Single Stack 9mm

About time Glock! I've dumped all my Glocks at this point went with S&W's on both the full and sub size stuff and Smith's stuff is just too damn ergonomic to ever go back to Glock's blocky angular design, BUT I've always consiered re-buying a G36. Love that gun. In reality though a XDs 45 may be...

I use TheBright.com. It's a pay service, but effective and inexpensive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Just looked into that, if I'm understanding it right it's not really Email, but private person to person mail, so if somebodies not "invited" in to the system you can't send or recei...

That's downright spiffy. I wonder why the waiting period? [ Post made via Mobile Device ] http://vagunforum.net/images/mobile.png The burst of users happened so quick there servers weren't enough to handle all the new traffic, they've added some more and are still adding. They did a crowdfund to ra...

Get Big Brother out of your inbox!

He guys, figured I'd plug a new email service I got today, it's called protonmail, it's a FREE email service with end to end encryption, basically works the way lavabit (the email service Edward Snowden used) works, expect their servers are in Switzerland, so even IF they could get seized (which the...

Re: Ed Gillespie Can't Name Three Federal Programs to End

I have a dream of one day of voting for somebody I really like, and not basing my vote on who I dislike the least. I see the same crap happening here that happened in my home state of MA, it happens fast. Everybody needs to keep on their toes and "convert" people to not being low informati...

But Alan may have convinced me that perhaps not everyone is a d'bahg that isn't carrying, but just uninformed. I feel MOST are in this catagory. Can't really blame them eaither, unless your into guns and know better all they have to go by is the crap that the libs and antis push on them, sadly they...

All you need is ONE time for someone to surf for child porn, bombmaking plans, or a jihadist website, and SLAP! You've been "SWAT'ted".
Nothing a user can do about it. Different SSID (CableWiFi) and different IP.

Re: The NRA gets the press, but the SAF gets results

It strikes me that having the SAF flying under the media radar, for the most part, is probably not a bad thing. Look how badly the press paints NRA members. And, come to think of it, while so many folks are distracted by focusing hatred on the NRA, it seems that the SAF is free to do their work wit...

Welcome to VGOF! :welcome:  As to open carry in Virginia, you can OC without permit. As to how well that will go over in Arlington, I'll leave that to a member that lives there to comment on. Just make sure you know the law and your rights, and as always use good judgment. http://www.handgunl...

I'll throw out the first pitch, so to speak. Do we have any ham radio operators?. Maybe a certain frequency for VGOF members?. Of course, that would require repeaters and such for better coverage. Communication is critical, and the interwebs probably won't be usable for us peons. That'd be awesome,...

Wow thank you all for the replies. Sadly with Virginia, the damage has already been done, and that needle is deep in the vein. Her only hope I feel, for those of us who love the state, but don't feel the love back, is for the rest of the state break off from NoVA. VA is Far from gone! I moved here ...

Jimmy, what do you recommend for a replacement? Internet Exploder is awful, and Chrome feeds directly into Google's spy machine. YUP! I'd trust the NSA physically in my house more than use google products. Minus my Android phone which is heavily hacked and not "leaking". Sent from my Gala...

It was nice having Firefox around as an alternate browser, but it wasn't my favorite. The fact that some of this attack came from within Mozilla helped me decide. Clearly "tolerance" only extends to those who agree with certain points of view. http://blog.heritage.org/2014/04/04/ceo-made-...
