Re: Speeding ticket!
Depends on the jurisdiction. In Va the judge cannot do anything about the points, only fines and charges on traffic tickets. They will take into account your driving record. In my opinion its hard to argue about curves and speed at 15 over the limit, judge will tell you cars have two pedals and one ...

Re: Experiences at Silver Eagle?
Its pricey for the hour. I was very unhappy when my friend and I went to shoot and she was denied because she was 20 years old. They explained she had to be in the company of her parents even though she was active duty MP in the marine corps. That didnt sit well with us so our business was taken els...

Re: Glock 26
I dont know much about reloading but do know about glocks. So I would not be able to offer advise on reloading side other then comparing the primer dents on a spent casing and a FTF casing. Field strip the glock, with the slide in hand without the barrel or recoil spring in place hold the firing pin...

Re: Firearm Pricing - Wholesale/Retail Spread?
I tried to order a gun the other day, online price was 341. I thought about it over night (actually its a going to be a gift). The next day i went to order it and it was 350. I called to confirm and they said 350, it was 341 yesterday. They claim to update their pricing daily... Now its like oil. If...

Re: Not again.....cop shot to death on Virginia Tech campus
147 and still counting.... sadly. Rest in peace brethren They locked down I95 today when a trooper got shot, but that got barely a mention, if at all, amid the reporting frenzy at Tech. Also in NC. Moore county deputy Rick Rhyne. 37 year vet shot and killed yesterday. While questioning two brothers ...

Re: Virginia to discontinue State Background checks?
Eliminating Va. Sate background checks would make Virginians wholly dependent upon the feds to perform this function. I think anybody who trusts the feds with exclusive control of any function that can be used/abused to obstruct the acquisition of firearms is very foolish. The state can cut a great...

Re: Good scope for my 10/22
Seems we have two discussions.... As for the topic, There is a wide range of scopes that will work good for you. First determine your price range including rings and such. Under 100 bucks you can pick up a a bushnell or simmons. I personally would get a variable power such as a 3-9x40. As where a fi...

Re: Boresighting a muzzleloader suggestions...
My grandfather gave me a muzzleloader not to long ago. Its a Knight USAK he bought in 2002 I believe. He told me that he had a shop bore sight it a few years ago when he put the 209 conversion in. I took it to the range and it was shooting left 4-5" and high 2-3" at 50yrds from POA. I know...

Re: Loudoun Sheriff 2011 elections
Why wouldnt you have a SWAT team? Just about everyone does. Its like saying why do they need a sex crimes unit or auto theft unit. Because they are used is ways other members of the department arent. They serve as a special purpose or tool as does every other specialty unit in a police department. D...
