Re: gun purchase delayed... & CHP question

Longest delay I ever had was 30min when using a CHP as required ID, and that was at a very busy gun show. Otherwise it has gone through quickly every time, just a couple minutes at most. One guy did ask if I had made a purchase in the last 30 days and when I said no he said "ok Ill just run it ...

Re: Fort Lee POW Range.

Does anyone know if this place is closed for the season. Last two times I have gone the front gate has been locked - couple wednesdays ago and this past sunday. Luckily the Smoking Gun is nearby.

Re: How Much Ammo?

Amazing how the recent ammo shortages have caused people to stockpile and/or rethink their shooting habits. For example until last Nov/Dec or whenever it first started to get scarce I shot easily as much .40 and .45 as 9mm in terms of rounds per year if not more. Since then I have shot very little ....

Re: Craigslist Missed Connections

Hahaha small world. I know who this was written for. Range buddy who lives near cary town. And sorry to say it was fake! I heard one of his work buddies saw him at Kroger without being spotted and put that up as a prank. Wonder what his revenge was. Hopefully my old favorite, the peanut butter under...

Re: Is there a Rifle Range in the Richmond/Midlothian Area?

Re: Where to Shoot Around Richmond?

Highly reccommend the Fort Lee POW range. Super nice facility and very friendly but safety minded staff. Hopefully they stay open forever. Also reccommend Smoking Gun. Great people but its a small place so watch out for the Petersburg locals who barely know how to safely handle a firearm much less h...

Re: Green Top Sporting Goods

Bought more than a few things from GT over the years and never had a problem. Prices sometimes a bit high but as they say at the counter "theres a gun show in here seven days a week." They are price gouging on 9x19 right now though ($18 for WWB = wtf.) In their defense they always h...

Re: Cleaning a SIG

+1 on SIGs being wet guns. Takes a few tries to figure out how much is too much but Qtips are your friend. More lube = more cleaning but thats a fair tradeoff IMO. I used to put Hoppes 9 everywhere but a local SIG nut turned me on to Milcomm TW25B grease on rails/barrels/guide rods and Milcomm MC250...
