Re: Can't decide on an AR or an AK?

My next purchase will be this AR in 5.45x39 - at .16 per round, those corrosive spammo cans are gonna get chewed up by this baby:

This way I'll finally get my AR *and* have commonality of ammo with my AK.

I've got the Shield in .40SW and it's a tack driver. Also have the XD-S and a Ruger LC9. Any of these three firearms make excellent, highly concealable carry guns.

Re: Pelican Case Foam Cutting Project Complete

Just finished building a hot wire foam cutter at home. Does anyone else here have some experience with foam cutting? Looks great! I've been thinking about doing this with 2 gun cases I own - would you be willing to share how you built your hot wire cutter? I found a great thread on foam ...

Re: If you get "made" carrying concealed...

As a CHP holder, I don't worry about it, and I carry my LC9 or my XD-S everywhere in a bellyband holster that hides the firearm exceptionally well. If someone should happen to see something and has something to say, so be it - I have a permit. That being said, I'm very confident that the gun is well...

Re: CHP in Loudoun Countr

My wife and I got our CHPs in 8 business days. Our son applied a month after us and got his in 28 business days. None of us bothered with a notary, seems like an unnecessary step. The ladies behind the counter at the Sheriff's office on Harrison St. had us in and out in about 10 minutes. The cops at...

Re: The future?

First guns were demonized and outlawed, now knives and other edged weapons. Next will be hammers, then cricket bats. When a government fears its people, it has to take away everything that scares or threatens it.

The U.K. - how the mighty have fallen.

Re: Anyone know if this is a good quality pistol?

As was mentioned, check out Rock Island Armory's offerings. I have 2 genuine Colts, a full size stainless steel Gov't model and a stainless Officer's model, but I'd put my new parkerized RIA Compact Tactical up against them any day. I can't find any fault with the fit and finish at all, no rough edg...

Re: Obama considering Executive Order to ban guns.

Obama seems to think he's more powerful than the other 2 branches of government. That video shows that Obama can't issue decrees that violate the 2nd Amendment, and whether he likes it or not, the Supreme Court has the final say regarding what will be the law of the land. Threatening to issue EO's i...

Re: Obama considering Executive Order to ban guns.

I'd love to see Obama try it, and have it mean anything. Last I checked, we were a representative democracy. If he thinks he's a dictator that can make decrees that his unwashed subjects must obey, he's in for a rude awakening.

Anyone CC these firearms and if so what holsters do you use/like. Thanks I wear casual clothes all the time - the clothes you wear might be a consideration when choosing a holster. For the LC9 I use two holsters: Kusiak Leather w/Crimson Trace IWB holster - great fit and craftsmanship. I like it so...

Omigosh! There was a horrible boating accident, I was showing a friend my gun collection on his boat when a giant freak wave crashed over the side and washed every one of them overboard! Oh nooooo!!!

Don't waste your time unless you like these 2 phrases: 1. Out of stock 2. Overpriced Eggs zackly. And don't forget: 3. Wall to wall people The line just to get in stretched all the way over to that barbecue/grill store. Overpriced black rifles, overpriced ammo, nothing worth seeing. I'll go back to...

Is it still considered a magazine if the internals are missing? That's the thing, it could just look like a hunk of metal or plastic. According to D.C. Official Code § 7-2506.01, bolding mine: No person in the District shall possess, sell, or transfer any large capacity ammunition feeding device re...

TBL Arms just handled my rifle transfer from Bud's for $25 plus $2 for the background check. It was great meeting Joe, he's a good guy that can be trusted, and he can get you just about anything you want. We shot the breeze for over an hour and played with some of the AR's and 1911's he'd tuned - I ...

Wasn't ever impressed buy there prices or ship times anyway. Yeah, I learned my lesson . . . I bought 5 metal 30-round magazines for the AR in case they bring back the bans on high capacity mags, and their shipping prices canceled out any great deals they might have originally had. They also had a ...

Re: Where do you keep your gun in your car?

When I can't wear it (which is rare), it goes in a locked Bulldog security box. They can be mounted under the seat, in the trunk, or just about anywhere you can find the room, and they come in different sizes.
