Out of curiosity, how does that play out? For example, say you're in the market for a gun. Well you can't buy one from CTD since they won't sell you one. Down the road if they decide to sell guns again and you're in the market for another one you'd consider buying it from them? Doesn't that give them nothing to lose and everything to gain?

CTD sells much more than firearms. Simply don't buy anything from them.

As long as they continue to be stupid I won't buy anything from them.
When they decide to stop acting like little girls afraid of the big bad media, then maybe I will have dealings with them.......
Was going to buy some knives and a water filter from thm in a month.....well see if they have their heads in straight by then

Wasn't ever impressed buy there prices or ship times anyway.

Yeah, but in my experience when I've looked at other items by the time you factor in their horrible shipping costs they tend not to live up to their name so I've just associated them with firearms.

Yeah, I learned my lesson . . . I bought 5 metal 30-round magazines for the AR in case they bring back the bans on high capacity mags, and their shipping prices canceled out any great deals they might have originally had. They also had a package of 24 Pachmayr .22 snap caps for sale for a little over 5 bucks, but the shipping charge was over $15 - not really a great deal or "cheaper than dirt" in the long run, and a deceptive practice, too.
It might be a good idea if we all support our local mom and pop gun shop.I know we'll pay a little more but they will be there for us if they get enough support to stay in business. The online stores are hard for them to compete with and will go the way of alot of book stores and other bricks and mortar businesses if we don't. You cannot depend on these corporate run online businesses to be there when the shtf,They are to concerened with public opinion and politics and are always another target for the anti gun crowd when something bad happens. Support your local gun shop.

"Recently informed of your new position on firearms sales has caused me to rethink shopping with you. Since you cannot define the difference between a 'knee-jerk'reaction, and a viable form of business, you do not need MY Business, and therefore I have decided to suspend shopping with you from this point forward. Good Day. "

Rick,
do you expect to get in any more federal/lake city 5.56/.223 any time soon?
Unfortunately, it looks like we're back to the days four years ago where ammo can't be found. We're backordered way out the door, especially on 5.56mm. The warehouse shows an expected avail date of 6 January, but I wouldn't count on that.
Please consider a DONATION to VGOF to help cover our operating costs
I just bought a Mossberg 500 from Discretionary Firearms in Chesapeake. Kevin earned my business a while back with his honesty, and I while I may purchase from other outlets (except CTD and Dick's), I will give Discretionary Firearms my business whenever I can. Battlefield Guns and Ammo is another great local business in Chesapeake, and I am happy to see them thriving and growing. I haven't bought any guns there, but I have bought parts and accessories, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Support your local businesses!

Generally speaking, I don't purchase anything from the internet. Ever.
Although, after spending so much time on VGOF, buying from Ricks sites would be more like doing business with a friend, as opposed to a faceless virtual entity. So should I find myself in the market, I'll keep the AIG sites in mind.

For me it works like this, CTD will never see another penny from me, even if a year from now they have the best selection and prices in town.
Rich wrote:After their price gouging during the last ammo shortage I stopped being a customer of theirs. Dont care what they do.
On this I really don't care. They should charge what the market can bare. Rising prices during a shortage perform a useful function of of scarce resource allocation. It's a very efficient mechanism and works much better than rationing. If you want it, pay for it...the price will keep rising until enough people drop out of the market and supply/demand is balanced again. FYI, it works the other way as well.
