I would suggest the Archon Mfg. Linear Compensator for a lower cost alternative to the flaming pig. It worked great on my 7.5 AR pistol and they cerakoted it FDE for a few extra bucks. +1 for primary arms. If you mentioned TruGlo in the post title I assume you're looking for a budget optic. If you're ok getting 80% of the optic for 20% of the price, can't beat primary arms. The vortex strikefire is a great value under $200. If you have the cash, like everyone else said, aimpoint.

Since you were building these Jacob, any suggestions on finding a barrel? I'm interested in building either the beowulf or a .458 socom, but barrels seem to be difficult to find at a reasonable price. Plenty of uppers, but I prefer to build my own.
