Re: Best design for 10mm PCC
I'm tagging in on this one. I personally love the 10mm, but like Snake I tend to use 180-200 gr hot rounds for the shear power and knock down. I generally shoot mine from a Contender with a 14" barrel, but a 14 with a stamp, or a pinned and welded cage or linear comp would help push the noise f...

Re: Trump: Ban Bump Stocks and Binary Triggers
Agreed everyone, and if they raise the age to purchase a firearm, let it be all firearms, voting, and eligibility to serve in our military as well. This from the proud father of an Army Specialist. I hold our military member with the greatest of respect, but if you can't vote, buy a gun, or have a d...

Re: WWII 1911 Anyone..??
Nope! No point if it's going through the NICS system! And I read all the rules on the CMP site in regard to the 1911's, one a year, and you have to do not one but two NICS checks. I could live with one, even though these should be C&R eligible. I agree Rev a real pain in the you know what. Case...

Re: SIG Sauer Pistols - Get Better Accuracy?
You most likely already tried this, but just in case, have you tried several different types of ammo in each of the guns to see what they like best? I have a Contender with a 10mm 14" barrel, that only really loves heavy bullets at maximum load. I hand load that one if I want single hole groups...

Nice piece, and I agree with Mark that should let you reach way out there as needed. And Snakester, I would love to get together with you and Mark, and also willing to help out as much as I can. Sounds like you will have a really nice long distance range.

Re: First Savage Bolt Rifle !
Great price, and I enjoy my 22 and 308 greatly. The only upgrades I currently have planned for the 308 is to pickup a Boyds stock, and a Savage Varmint or heavy take off barrel. The only reason for the latter is I like to shoot 5 shot ragged hole groups instead of 3 shots. Don't get me wrong, the fa...

Re: Introducing boys to firearms (outdoor ranges, kid courses)
Please very much consider contacting your county 4-H agent which you can find on-line for your specific area. Inquire about the 4-H Youth Shooting Education program and if there is one in your area. I'm pretty sure there is. We normally start new kids, and kids as young as 9 on Air Rifles and Pistol...

Isn't that the damn truth, I was strangely thinking the same thing. With the looming potential of the Hearing Protection Act, and maybe national reciprocity, I guess we will have to fight on for yet another while. Hell if Congress would just work instead of punting everything down the road another f...

Re: .45 +P Rounds
OK, so why not just pick up a Glock 21 police trade in, basically broken in and used to qualify with, otherwise rode in a holster for right at your price point, and they are build on the same frame and slide assembly as the 10MM offering, thus I would guess well suited for 45 +P rounds, or just get ...

Re: .45 +P Rounds
unless you REALLY have your heart set on a .45 you should look at the trend in LE sidearm selection which is rapidly shedding .40 and .45 cal firearms in favor of the 9mm. Now that the FBI test protocols are well understood, and purpose built defense ammo is available in all popular cartridges. Alm...

Re: Did Governor McAweful Stage Charlottesville?
After I posted the above, I did find that there is a National Guard Armory just a few miles away, but still they had to have been at the ready to be in place and on the job that fast. I kinda believe Timmy McAwful has some level of something in it.

Re: Shot the New Gen5 Glock
I'll throw in my 2 cents, how about shaving the girth down a little, like the Rev said, just a few lines of code change, and done. Why is there a decent size aftermarket for reshaping the hand grip, and trigger guard if no one wanted those to be improved. The other plastic fantastic guns figure most...

Re: Experience With Muzzle Brakes
Kelu, I would most likely just pick up a Boyds Custom stock, they are quite reasonable, and after installing the action in that you need to bed it, you at least have a stock that one you like, and two is very well made. Just my 2 cents. I have ordered one of their stocks and the ship time was dead o...

Re: Did Governor McAweful Stage Charlottesville?
Kinda have to agree with Marc, funny how the National Guard just happened to be there at the ready, when the closets base is where, and they couldn't mobilize until their was a signed order of emergency.... There were just too many things that didn't add up, like others have stated, and a handful of...

Kelu, LLC'ing refers to creating an LLC (Limited Liability Corporation) then placeing all of your assets, house, cars, ect in the LLC. Then if someone sues you personally in Civil court they can't touch anything in the LLC. The standard I am not a lawyer please check with one rule applies. When I ha...

Re: Finally had to get a Commander sized 1911
Thanks for the recommendation, I can most likely swing that purchase, and it would be quite useful when one is loading up 10-15 1911 mags, a few Sig mags, and some others... I also saw the one for AR mags, but then I would really be tempted to shoot way too many rounds if I could load them that fast...
