An afterthought, and for what it's worth, that site I referenced did not use full size pistols for their testing. Their rationale was that a more realistic representation of terminal ballistics for carry sized pistols would be gained by using carry pistols in testing...hence the lesser expansion rates of several of the rounds tested. Pistols used are listed for each caliber.

OK, so why not just pick up a Glock 21 police trade in, basically broken in and used to qualify with, otherwise rode in a holster for right at your price point, and they are build on the same frame and slide assembly as the 10MM offering, thus I would guess well suited for 45 +P rounds, or just get the 20 in 10MM and be done with it. I do like the M&P, and my son who just got back from the sand box picked up a Sig, so we have quite a selection to play with.

Hmmph! Didn't think this discussion would go anywhere. Boy was I wrong! Imagine my surprise when I checked a few minutes ago!

Lots of good points of view here and I appreciate the opportunity to learn from those who know more than I about such things. My EDC is a M&P 9 that I like. It's small enough, but with hollow-points I don't have any doubt that I can disable an assailant if necessary. The extended mags give me 8+1, which should be enough as long as the situation is limited to one opposing shooter.
They will all fire +P... once. LOL
Yeah Marc, you are correct! :hysterical:

@kelu - there is some merit to the argument that "Mine's bigger!"
