Re: Ruger 10/22 1st Time Shooting
Yeah 10/22's are a lot of fun. As long as the weather is decent I usually shoot my Charger a few times a week. Even in it's pistol form I have no problem hitting 100 yard 8" wide steel with a 1x red dot.

Re: Setting up a range on your property.
I'm went with a zombie theme for my personal range. I spread the targets out at 10, 25, 50 and 100 yards with the 100 yard zombie having a steel plate face. As long as you hear the "PING!" then you know you hit his brain pan. The range slopes downward toward very thick woods that spread ab...

Re: .22 Pistol Recommendations
Another fun choice would be the Ruger Charger. Comes with it's own bi-pod and basically feels like a 10-22 "sniper pistol". A bit bulky for concealed carry unless you wear MC Hammer pants but fun to tote thru the woods. It's the one on the right side of the table. My kids love shooting it....

Re: ZOMBIE'S!! What if? What would you bring/set up to prepare??
Would this be considered preparing for a zombie apocalypse? It's my 100 yard zombie themed personal range & camp. http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g56/tonto666/newzrange1.jpg I have the zombie targets spread at 10, 25, 50 and 100 yards. The torso is 3/4" oak plywood with 7" paper plat...

Re: Question about Taurus Judge with 3" chamber.
If you go with the Raging Judge Magnum (I have the 6.5" barrel with 3" chamber version) then you can also shoot .454 Casull with the 410 and 45LC.

Re: right size rifle for smaller frame
I'm sure what you have could probably be adjusted to fit but what about a carbine?
My CX4 (when stock) weighs between 5 to 6 pounds and starts out with just over a 13" length of pull. If you don't mind the Buck Rogers/Battlestar Galactica styling it's extremely fun to shoot.
