Re: Robert Duvall's neighbor shoots down a drone
He's been in the Middleburg, VA area for quite some time. He'll occasionally show up at one of the bars in town. I've never seen him, but restaurant employees I've spoken to say he just wants to be treated like any other person. No diva-like behavior whatsoever.

Virginia-Pilot Column
Interesting article, especially since it was published in the Virginia Pilot (Hampton Roads rag...left-leaning). Not the best pro-2Am arguments, and I think K. Dougherty could have made some better points regarding the anti-gunners, but not bad overall. The comments section is conspicuously absent o...

Just sayin'.
Also, don't piss off the person mixing your drink at the bar. I hate it when I can't see through my glass when there's more coke than bourbon in it.

PNC is pretty good. Gun agnostic (no anti-gun signs, nothing in their corporate rules), lots of branches around here (NoVa, PRMD, PA), online bill pay is entirely free, and foreign ATM fees are paid back at the end of the month. I've been with them for a LONG time and have never paid them a dime for...

Re: Anyone know of a good range near Front Royal?
Welcome to the neighborhood! Theres a few in the area. Isaac Walton is 30 minutes north of you in Frederick County along Rt 50. 340 Defense is on Rt 340 just north of the VA/WV state line and is also about 30 minutes away. Clarke Brothers is in Warrenton. It's a little bit farther than the others. I...

Can't be DC, tho I'm sure it ranks up there. Most of the corrupt people in DC only visit it for 1/2 a year, then go back to their own states.

11/13. Missed the College Graduate and the Population Graph questions. Only guessed on those two so I'm officially on "news-overload".

340 Defense in WV is good for long-shots. It's on Rt 340 (hence the name) about halfway between Berryville, VA and Charles Town, WV. It's about 1 hour from Sterling (Rt 7 west to Rt 340 north, or Rt 7 west to 9 north to 340 south).

Selling old Home Heating Oil - 70-80 Gallons
Bought an old house in the Frederick/Clarke county area that has an old oil tank in the basement. Previous homeowners switched from oil to electric 10 or so years ago but never got rid of the tank. Tank has maybe 80 gallons of heating oil still in it. The going rate for new oil is about $3.70. I'm l...

That sounds about right.

I wish someone would open a PROGUN bank! And by that, there is a sign that says "We ENCOURAGE armed patrons, and personnel into our establishment!" And they give good discounts, and rates to people with VCDL/NRA/GOA/etc memberships, or better yet A CREDIT UNION SET UP JUST FOR PROGUN GROU...

Re: Think You've Seen it All?
I spent the first 21 years of my life in Lancaster PA. The people in the buggy and boat are not Amish- or at least not very strict Amish. The two that I can see are wearing jeans. That's forbidden in Amish society. Mennonite's don't usually ride in buggies and they also don't usually wear jeans. The...
