Bought an old house in the Frederick/Clarke county area that has an old oil tank in the basement. Previous homeowners switched from oil to electric 10 or so years ago but never got rid of the tank. Tank has maybe 80 gallons of heating oil still in it.
The going rate for new oil is about $3.70. I'm looking to get $1.50 per gallon. There is a catch though - the basement is not accessible from the outside of the house. The oil will need to be pumped out of the tank to a second container, then taken out of the house.
Any takers? PM me.
