Years ago it was suggested that, "An apple a day keeps the doctor away." But since all the doctors are now Muslim, I've found that a bacon sandwich works great!

Guess a gas engine is OK since seahorses are so small...

Lol, Skeeter; I was gonna say Mennonite, too.

Of course, the Amish are quite neighborly, if a little stand-offish. They might be lending a helping hand.

Reminds me of the Amish guy I saw in PA a few weeks ago. He must have been having a mid-life crisis; I'd never seen an Amish sports car before. It was a seat... er, two stander little buggy (kind of like an extremely plain and bare-bones chariot) being pulled by two horses. Ol' boy was gettin' it on down the road, too, lol.

Years ago we spent a week in Mt. Union, PA. On one of the locals suggested that we take a drive to an ice cream shop run by an Amish family. On the way down country roads, we saw many buggies. As we came upon one farm, we saw dozens of buggies parked in a field. A group, men with straw hats & suspenders, women in dresses and bonnets, were in a paddock in front of a barn playing volleyball! It was a sight to behold.

I spent the first 21 years of my life in Lancaster PA. The people in the buggy and boat are not Amish- or at least not very strict Amish. The two that I can see are wearing jeans. That's forbidden in Amish society. Mennonite's don't usually ride in buggies and they also don't usually wear jeans. They can drive cars. The pic has too many inconsistencies.

So is boils down to this: I have no idea who those people are, but they're not Amish or Mennonite.

I visited PA a few summers ago. saw and learned a little about the Amish up there. Interesting people, we disagree on some things but from what I here they're pretty nice in general and I don't think many of their kids grow up to be criminals and welfare dependents so I reckon thats better than most.
