Re: Current "wait"
So the new eForms system is up and running (mostly, when it isn't down for several days at a time). We are seeing improvement in Form 2 and 3 times as we, the manufacturers and dealers, now do all the manual data entry. Speaking of data entry, that is the real issue now with Form 4s. There just aren...

Re: Want to start a trust- where to start?
Doing an LLC for NFA is not a good idea. LLCs must be maintained through annual filings, tax returns, etc. If VA invalidates your LLC for something like a late filing you are now in possession of NFA items without authorization....not a good place to be.

Re: Where to buy AAC silencer in NoVa?
We normally charge $50 for inbound NFA transfers. We do the paperwork, you get a packet in the mail with directions for completion (signatures, return of trust documents or fingerprint cards, etc). Our prices are competitive with just about everyone to include my good friend Scott at Silenced America.

Re: We're number one! We're number one!
The ATF produces a yearly report, that is where the numbers come from. As others have pointed out, the very high numbers in unlikely locations have to do with manufacturing activities, importers or government held weapons...yes even the government has to deal with the ATF.

I was going to send you the letter, but it looks like you already have it. Yes, the AFG is legal. I have confirmed this the NFA branch myself.

You really won't know until you shoot it. SBR 9MMs seem to be much more reliable than the "legal" barrel kind. I suspect that you won't have to change anything out.

Re: Multi-caliber rifle can
It seems that longer barrels on the high pressure 30 cal's make it more acceptable... but officially its a .308 and under can from what I can determine. Now how do I get it on my AK Its a QD can, so get the right mount, and it should thread right on. For an AK you have to very careful. The 14x1LH s...

Current "wait"
ATF NFA branch is currently processing forms submitted in early December. They are hiring some contractors to provide support to the examiners to speed things up a bit. I am noticing a slight speed up in the stamps I am getting back.

The 762-SD on a 51T Blackout mount will certainly work for both of those. You may also want to look at the YHM Phantom Ti. Amazing light can with a great mount/flash hider.

Yes there is a limit, but many, if not most, dealers will not do the transfer if the system does not return a "proceed". The liability is just too great.

Re: VA law and reloading
If it is legal for you in MA, bring it on down. There is only one kind of firearm you can't own here (Streetsweeper law...basically folding stock shotgun with more than 12 rd mag). So called "high cap mags", silencers, machine guns, short barrel rifles/shotguns, AOWs all are legal. The con...

Re: Virginia to discontinue State Background checks?
It is a really bad idea for so many reasons, foremost surrendering firearm purchase "authorization" to federal government completely. I have heard many folks saying that background checks are taking longer and longer, but I have experienced the opposite over the last several months. They h...

Re: Suppressors going mainstream
Reverenddel - I believe you are confusing AOWs and SBSs. SBSs are still $200. The AOW is usually used with short shotguns that were manufactured with pistol grips only (no stock was ever attached). You can't cut down a shotgun to an AOW because of the GCA definition “…designed or redesigned to be fi...
