...is wasting his... no, OUR , time yapping with the chuckleheads on The View. we're frickin' hosed. In these perilous times, with the Republic beset by crisis, wouldn't you expect Our Leader to consult with his BRAIN TRUST? "Help us Obi-Jon Stewart...you're our only hope!" ...

Re: Wolf Trap CC Policy?
Did some homework. The "credit card bill of rights" act of 2010 contained the repeal of no-gun policy in national parks, but maintains it in "visitor centers, administrative offices" and other buildings under the no guns in federal buildings law. I suppose that they may consider...

Re: Now I now what the Mayans were worried about in 2012
All that Mayan calendar business is bogus. Look...the guy who had the stone-calendar-carving gig had to retire or drop dead,(maybe both), at SOME point, right? I guess that he reckoned that being 1500 years ahead of schedule was good enough for "gubmint work". It's OUR problem that some fo...

Re: Blue Ridge Arsenal
I used to habituate BRA, even did some business with them, (an FFL transfer), and found their staff to be very helpful and professional. But the REAL reasons I'd hang out there was that Blue Ridge Arsenal was where the noted Maryland Planning Board member and failed 1994 US Senate candidate Ruthann ...

This is exactly so, since I am on the USCG's Baltimore/National Capital Port Security Citizens' Advisory Committee, (to my knowledge, I'm the ONLY working seaman on this thing...draw yer own conclusions from that).
And...USCG was assimilated by the DHS "Borg" in 2002.

Re: Every Day Carry, what do you pack daily?
I carry this laminated picture: http://scrapetv.com/News/News%20Pages/Politics/images-2/barack-obama-2.jpg Should the need arise, I brandish it and inform the malefactor not to "act stupidly". You'd be surprised at the "knock-down power" one of these things packs... If there's an...

Re: Have I shown you my CMOH, Navy Cross and Purple Heart?
Sasquatch: How about just making it legal to punch them in the face?Much more satisfying. Now that's cruel and hurtful. We are a nation of laws, after all. The penalty should be a $5.00 fine for assaulting and battering such a person who is exercising their civil right of freedom of expression. Fund...

Re: Select-Fire, Glen Burnie MD
But I cannot carry the firearm if I'm on my way to my parents' house first. But it's the "in-house" rules that told me all I need to know. No cell phones, on or off. 4 seconds between shots. NO HEAD SHOTS INTO THE SILHOUETTE TARGETS. Now that's rather odd for a range that rents class III....

Re: VA Port Authority Gun Regs
gunderwood; This sounds like it could make a good legal challenge. Unless they want to take over the operation and funding (assuming VA was ok with it) it is state property, not federal. As such, the laws of VA apply IMHO. INAL, but I would suggest you email VCDL and see if they are interested in ma...

Heck...if you come with a reloading press, I'd adopt you!
Since I ken that you're one of the "goto 4 ammo guys" hereabouts, I'd say that the odds are in your favor.Does he want to adopt?

VA Port Authority Gun Regs
You folks may find this of interest; About 3 years ago, I was working aboard a ship moored, (more or less permanently), in Norfolk at the Norfolk International Terminal, a property owned by the Commonwealth, operated by the Virginia Ports Authority, and guarded by the VA Port Police. As I then had, ...

This is no bullshit: So Sunday I go to a baby shower for one of my neighbor's son's wife, who is fresh from the Phillipines, (and cute as a button, the way young Filipinas are), and her husband's gift to the baby is one of these: http://www.fnhusa.com/le/products/firearms/model.asp?fid=fnf022&gi...

Reporting Aboard
1) Where's the coffee pot? 2) Is the Captain in his dayroom? 3) Where's my focs'le? 4) When's my watch? It's been a year since the seizure of the MV Maersk Alabama, and did anyone realize that US Merchant Mariners STILL do not have firearms with which to defend their vessels and their lives? And the...
