I've been a member for 20 some odd years. I'm not sure that there's any slots available right now. Cavalier is one fine range.

I'm at CSA two three times per week.
When I enter the range the RSOs are paying attention to what is going on and being helpful.

Re: Garand or AR?
I would not advise either. Why not get an Armalite AR10. You would have the high capacity for the AR15 and the knock down of the 30-06.

There's two top of the line ranges in the Richmond area Colonial Shooting Academy (indoors) and Cavalier Rifle and Pistol (out doors).
They both have fair prices for their membership.

Col. David Hackworth had a group classification for the people who make these rules "Perfumed Princes" The Perfumed Prince's sole motivation is promotion. If the Prince needs to sacrifice troops for a good annual evaluation so be it. Prince's evaluation is not enhanced by troops shooting o...

Re: Reloading Boxer-primed steel cases in .45 ACP
Back when I was competing I got couple of steel cases mixed into batch of 45 acp cases I was reloading. Even with a carbide die it was a bit push and pull on the press handle to resize it.
Have fun, personally the steel cases make good landfill.

Ed's Red works pretty good, unless you have copper problems. It's kind of nice to put the muzzle of your rifle in the bucket of Ed's Red and use the cleaning rod with patch to pull cleaner up in the barrel and push it out, getting fresh cleaner with each stroke. I've used the one gallon of cleaner t...

Gents; The postings about Remington 22 rim fire ammo. Many years ago when I was first starting to shoot bulls-eye matches I found and bought some Remington target ammo, something like 2,500 rounds. With my High Standard Citation I had at least one failure to fire in every box of 50. After a few matc...

Nuttin.
The federal government being shut down is short respite from the threat it represents.

Sounds like an awful lot of work. Get a tumbler, I've been using the same Lyman tunbler for the past 20 years. I've used both corn and walnut media. I thrown in several used drier sheets to catch the crud, turn on the tumbler and let it run until the next morning. I'll dump the brass and media in th...
