What are your plans during the big government shutdown?

Post by OakRidgeStars »

OMG! We're All Going To Die!!!!!11111

Ok, maybe not. Rather than get all bent about the pending disaster known as government shutdown, why not celebrate it? We all know that it's those big meanie <insert party here>'s that's responsible. With that being said, how will you spend the many hours of governmentless bliss?

You can find my plans in this recent thread http://vagunforum.net/general-discussio ... 19470.html

Nuttin.
The federal government being shut down is short respite from the threat it represents.
To bad we can't keep at this level.

Be sorry that we can't keep them in that state. Sime things would go amiss, but by and large it would be an improvement.

same old same old, for those people being furloughed that sucks, and yeah not getting a check if you are waiting for one from the government will suck, but at least for now, nothing will be any different for us/my family.

I am sure the NSA is not going to furlough any of those people reading our messages or listening to our calls. We can only wish that would happen :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical:

Just sit back and enjoy the show. If half of them stay home, how could we taxpayers NOT be better off? I just wish somebody would tell me they don't get back pay for the time they weren't working when this monkey-show is over. But I'll betcha $50 agin' a good dry horseturd they will.

So tell me, ..... if about half of them are "non-essential" and therefore won't be required to work during the shutdown, WHY THE HELL ARE THEY ON THE PAYROLL TO BEGIN WITH?

I'm going to take a dump and name it Obama. In fact, I think we should replace the existing set of words for 5hit in the dictionary with one: Obama.

Yeah, it is a bummer. The last time it happened, I was 'essential'; so it was report to work as usual.
This time, different MOS, so I am 'not essential'.

I'll just hang out, catch up on some of the work around the house.

Medicare is funded through payroll taxes; a shutdown no effect on me.

This is as exciting as that time when Y2K attacked!

FiremanBob, once again, we disagree. No one should under any circumstance have to "take an obama". We're already having enough obama forced upon us! :hysterical:

Apparently since I work for a private company I have to go to work. :dunno: How silly!
