Re: Thoughts on the Ruger Mark III (esp Hunter)

Yes my friend I think you would have been very happy with it. I was looking for an easier explanation of tearing it apart, and stumbled upon the website... Felt, uneasy about changing a gun around, goofing something up etc, so I waited. Ran into the gentleman and his wife at the SHOT show, and spent...

Re: Thoughts on the Ruger Mark III (esp Hunter)

The ruger Mark III hunter is easily one of my favorite guns. Love it! When it came to cleaning, I HATED it. I spoke to Ruger reps about it at the SHOT show, and they agreed it could be "challenging". The I met a gentleman that owns Majestic Arms. He sells a "speed strip kit" for ...

Re: Anyone know of stores that stock a Berreta 92FS INOX

They are available at a few online places, to include cabelas for a decet price. I am an FFL, so if you would like to purchase online, I am happy to send my FFL to whomever you would like. I charge $22 for Va residents to do a transfer. +$10 for ea additional firearm transferred at the same time. Ha...

Re: WTB Ruger LCP .380

I have a used one, less than 20 rounds through it. It is not something I have to sell, but I really do not love it like I thought I would, so I would be willing to sell it for $325. That is higher than you may find online, and I would be happy to do a transfer for you if you want to go that directio...

Re: Reloading progressive press? Hornady? Dillon?

I think you will be happy with either of those, they are both good quality and have good customer service. I actually fell into buying an RCBS Pro 2000, and I absolutely love it for several reasons. First is the primer loading system... folks complain about it, but I love it and have absolutely no c...

Re: 340 Defense. What's going on there?

I am quite certain if I had paid the annual membership fee, and all of the sudden they closed down for a month, I would expect reimbursement of a portion of my fees at least. I have spoken with a few members there, none are too happy, and most are contemplating not renewing, if it is even an option....

Re: True? Police have records of ALL guns?

I was replying to your previous post, "The State Police use form 65 and say they destroy it...that they don't keep a record of serial numbers." Simply stating that the serial number is not on that form, so even if the State keeps it for more than 30 days, it makes no difference. Several po...

Re: True? Police have records of ALL guns?

The biggest point folks continue to miss, is that the SP-65, DOES NOT LIST a serial number or model or make. Simply how many of what type firearm you bought. When I do the background the State Police do NOT get a serial number, ever, for any reason save one... When a multiple purchase form is filled...

Re: SKS or AK?

I vote AK, but to be fair the reason is becasue I am selling one with ammo in the for sale section.

RocKor really laid out a lot of good information, nothing to really add.

Good luck in your quest, I really think either way you will be pleased.

Re: True? Police have records of ALL guns?

The VSP does not receive the serial number or even what you bought... unless you buy multiple handguns within a 5 day period. They simply know you are buying A pistol, revolver, rifle, or shotgun. How many of each is all they get, period. They are supposed to destroy the SP-65 after 30 days... even ...

Re: True? Police have records of ALL guns?

There is simply no other way they would have the information on a particular firearm. I have many firearms come through and go out, and know that at no point does the state have the information, UNLESS, you purchase more than one handgun in 5 day period. At that point a multiple sales for is filled ...

Re: True? Police have records of ALL guns?

I am a dealer, and I would like to put this to bed, this is mostly crap.... When I do the background here in Virginia, they only know whether you are buying a pistol, revolver, shotgun, or rifle. (period) Unless you purchase multiple handguns, they have no idea what you specifically bought, nor is t...

Re: AR15 80% Lower build, legal in VA?

No serial number? All stripped lowers will come with a serial number. Curious about this.

As long as you do the paperwork for the stripped lower, you can build as many as you wish, just cant do more than one for resale, you would then become a manufacturer.

Re: AR building

The lower receiver is the part with a serial number. There is no registration per say, however when you purchase a firearm, the serial number is recorded on your federal form, and kept by the FFL for a period of 20 years. All other items can be ordered online and shipped directly to your home. Have ...

Re: Becoming a FFL Dealer in Fairfax County

Why does it cost more than $10 a transfer..... Well, let me give you the reasons I charge $22 for a gun and $10 additional each gun transferred at the same time. For each gun that comes in the door, I do the following. Receive it from the delivery person, UPS Fedex or PO. Log it into my bound book. ...

Hopefully everyone remembers this idiot vetoed the restaurant ban repeal when he was at the helm, and in the same day allowed Virginia Commonwealth Attorneys, who did not have a CCW, to carry into an establishment that served alcohol, and even drink while carrying. Rules are different for him as opp...
