July 19: does Gainesville Cabela's have primers?
Hello, folks. Quick question: if you happen to frequent the Gainesville Cabela's, have you seen any primers at all available in store? I have tried calling to ask if the on-site staff could check for me, but got no answer. Specifically I need small pistol AND/OR small rifle primers. Yeah, I know - g...

WTB/WTT Stevens M520, Sears Mod30, Wards Westernfield pump
Hey guys - thought I'd make use of this "wish list" section of VGOF. I am interested in the ca. 1904 - 1930's period Stevens Model 520 12 gauge pump shotgun series, which includes "rebadged" models such as Riverside, Springfield Arms, Sears Model 30, Wards Model 30, Western Field...

Re: Mosin Nagant parts wanted
I have the stock from a 1939 91/30 that is just sitting in the parts room if you interested. Kevin, did the stock turn out to be a postwar Ukrainian rearsenal after all? If it had the rear band removal cuts, and pressed-in sling escutcheons, it was probably postwar. If it had screwed-in sling escut...

Mosin Nagant parts wanted
Looking for parts to reconfigure my 1929 Tula ex-Dragoon back to "look-alike" status. 1. Konovalov sight base and leaf assembly - entire unit tapped off any M91, can be Finn strike-through, weak finish, functional condition 2. M91 front barleycorn sight blade - Russian style, not a Finn do...

 I agree, i like the new look a heck of a lot better. Hey, thanks for the comment. As it is mid-July, and your post was in May, it's pretty clear I don't surf this website nearly enough! Hope everyone is having "summer fun" with their firearms. Been working off and on with the old f...

Re: 275gal of Diesel, What to do?
I was just given 275gal of old Diesel fuel that was intended when it was bought years ago as a 3rd source of heat in a home. I don't have any Diesel generators or anything Diesel really to make use of it so I'm looking for ideas. A friend on YT bought a 96 turbo diesel VW car and has had very good ...

Finn M39 built on 1896 Tula
These are some quick pics of my 1941 VKT M39. This Finn Mosin Nagant was built on a recycled 1896 Tula hex receiver. She's a great rifle! Yeah fellas, I just wanted to add that "I feel your pain" as well..... I don't post on that site a whole lot, but I was just getting some "traction" on a gun trade I wanted to follow up on. Bummer when the site goes dark at the critical moment! Take it easy - it'll be back up soo...

Good day to all of you! Just getting my "hello mates" first post taken care of. It's sure hard to think about creating a half-decent, much less half-coherent introduction letter when you're sick with a nasty head cold. I should probably make mention of my location, some basics - OK.... 1. ...
