Re: Ebola

It probably will be ignored even if it gets enough signatures but I started a petition on the glorious leaders website to enact a travel ban. https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/enact-and-enforce-ban-all-travel-and-africa-until-ebola-outbreak-subsides/wXWWQtcr Since it can take 21 days before ...

Re: I think a large portion of Hell just froze over...

It is interesting that the judge ordered them to include non residents as well. I know D.C. is appealing but it seems after the last few Supreme Court cases, it is settled law. The question is then how will D.C. address - I am assuming some sort of highly restrictive permit process. The real questio...

Re: SCOTUS: Obama overstepped bounds with recess appointments

I think the fact that it is a 9-0 Unanimous vote will help silence critics. It's pretty obvious that if Sotomeyer and Ginsberg are against it-you had to be pretty far out there in the first place.

As for them staying employed-doesn't this ruling immediately invalidate their positions?

So totally unrelated to anything

So this has nothing to do with firearms . But I show up at work this morning around 7:10 and am plugging away for about an hour when an email shows up from HR stating that effective immediately all my reports will now be reporting to another manager in my group. And I am like "oh poop=its a reo...

Re: BREAKING: Chipolte says no to guns

@mindflayer - I agree. Especially when you do it with Ar-15s etc. I've openly worn a pistol into the chipolte in Sterling without a hassle but because it was matter of fact, I was there to get a Burrito not to rub it in the anti-gunners face while they enjoyed their meal. I've also wondered at the n...

Re: Open Carry vs Concealed-Better deterrent?

@Marc Spaz I get your point about being in a situation such as perhaps a planned armed robbery of a bank -but I think the situation you first described in the restaurant is way more likely to be what any of us experience which is why I lean to open carry.

Open Carry vs Concealed-Better deterrent?

Hey, just curious about everyone's opinion. Do you think open carry vs concealed carry is a better deterrent? I've got a CHP but i find myself usually going open carry, and living in Loudoun I don't seem to get a lot of looks. I personally feel with it openly carried, people of unpleasant nature are...

Re: Nevada Ranch Standoff

I think prima facie the ranch owner was wrong to the letter of the law -but we should have a discussion about why the BLM squeezes out ranchers over 20 years while okaying golf courses and resorts....but its obvious this rapid escalation of an issue they were coasting on for 20 years needs to be inv...

Re: Midway USA has 9mm luger in stock

I bundled it with some other stuff i needed so the shipping was more defrayed Around here in NoVa only place i can find 9mm regularly is silver eagle and originally they were going for about $13 a box but it's crept up to about $18-19 per box of 50 so when you toss in some cleaning supplies and the ...

Midway USA has 9mm luger in stock

it's winchester white and you are limited to a 100 rd box but it's only 25.99 compared to the other online gougers they also had Tula 7.62x39 20 rd boxes for 5.99 (limit 5) the limits suck, but I like the fact they aren't really gouging the 9mm tends to go fast so figured I'd post it here so everyon...

"The candle burns brightest just as it burns out." Old Japanese proverb. I suspect we are going to see the candle sputter out next year - a lot of economists are pointing out there is no real justification for this increase in value; it is all speculative based on quantitive easing-once t...
