5 gal water jugs
I'm from out west and you can go to several different locations to fill 5 gallon jugs for drinking water. Everything from specialty stores to "atm" style fillers to Wal-Mart or your grocier of choice. Is there any place around Arlington or Alexandria that is like that? This is what I'm tal...

He would never raise enough funds. He's much too low profile.

Re: Do you take guns on vacation?
If I can carry I take my side arm. Usually when I'm visiting friends or family in other states they have guns I can shoot for fun.

Divorced guys: When did you know it was over
For you divorced folks, when did you decide it wasn't worth it anymore? How did you know? What did it take? I've only been married about two years but it seems like she has completely fallen out of love with me. She lies to me consistently and when I catch her in a blatant lie she acts like it's no ...

Re: 7th Dist - Pro-gun alternative candidate to replace Cantor
Hey, I'm all for getting rid of a bunch of nonsense Federal agencies but it aint gonna happen. The things you want this guy to do to "prove" he's pro-gun are silly hoops you want him to jump through. Voting pro-gun is good enough for me and it should be for you too. This guy has serious po...

Re: Insurance coverage for self-defense shootings
Personal injury. You are most likely going to get off in criminal court (if you're even charged) but you can bet your ass that you're going to get sued in civil court by the attacker...er...victim as his lawyer will claim. "Johnny was such a good little boy, he just got mixed up with the wrong ...

Re: small cc gun ---kel tec
A lot has been said as to why it's not the greatest choice of a carry piece. I have to agree with these guys. You want something ABSOLUTELY 100% reliable. Someone mentioned running two boxes of defense ammo through theirs and that's good enough. Not so. That's what, 40 rounds? What happens if number...

Re: 2011 Get together and shoot
Sounds like a lot of fun. I'll have to see what's going on that weekend once it gets near but it might be worth the drive down. Hell I've driven farther to shoot before.

Re: 7th Dist - Pro-gun alternative candidate to replace Cantor
What kind of bill would you like to see put in right now? Politics is about playing your cards right, knowing when to fold. You've got a liberal Senate and a socialist in the Oval. What bill could possibly get passed? We're lucky that anti-legislation isn't making any headway. You don't want to wast...

Re: Camo dipping in NOVA?
Krylon makes flat camo paint. It's not as scary as it sounds. Tape the holes up and everything else you don't want paint on it and get after it. I did it to my AR and it came out nice. Just do a quick Google search and there's a ton of info on prep and what not. It cost me about 10 bucks with suppli...

Re: When to tell the cops?
I don't make a habit of getting pulled over and I've been pulled over twice since I got my permits. Once in Arizona and once in Colorado, I have permits for both states. In AZ I was not carrying (coming from school) and the permit is not linked to the DL so I did not notify. In Colorado I was carryi...

Re: 7th Dist - Pro-gun alternative candidate to replace Cantor
Like hell we do. Talk is cheap, so Cantor can say whatever the heck he wants. Instead, I look for what he DOES. And what he DOES is have his fundraiser at an anti-gun establishment, even after the VCDL has provided him with an equally good alternative and offered to pay the difference, if any. But ...

You don't have to buy a 1k+ piece of glass to reach out. I've got a sub $300 Millett on my Remington 700 and I shoot out to 800+ no problem. As it's been said above, a lot has to do with what you want to do with the rifle. Shooting under 700 and you want fast string of fire then go with an AR platfo...

Re: 7th Dist - Pro-gun alternative candidate to replace Cantor
... We have the second most powerful Congressman in the House and you want to get rid of him? That's just plain stupid. ... Just because he has an event at a place that doesn't allow guns doesn't mean he's anti-gun. Hell every single Congressman in the country works in a Federal Building and guess ...
