Yes. I voted against Republican in this last election (last month) for exactly that reason. Couldn't vote for the Democrat either, so I voted for a third party candidate who while not perfect, he was the most principled candidate. I did that knowing full well that that third party would not win. I did the same thing for the last presidential election too.CowboyT wrote:I'll put this question out to the conservatives on this board, and it's a very serious one.
If you see the Republicans, for whom you traditionally have voted, going back to "business as usual", do you really have the conviction not to vote for them again? Do you really have the strength of character to take that stand? I ask because as a liberal, I had the strength of character to do this regarding the Democrats, for whom I very often voted years ago.
So, do you?

That depends entirely on if you want fraud and corruption exposed or not.zephyp wrote:What better guy to head it up?

I guess I'm missing something here...Ron Paul is probably the biggest critic of the fed. I think and hope he would expose and air all of the dirty laundry...or do you think otherwise.gunderwood wrote:That depends entirely on if you want fraud and corruption exposed or not.zephyp wrote:What better guy to head it up?

I agree 100%.zephyp wrote:I guess I'm missing something here...Ron Paul is probably the biggest critic of the fed. Ah...indeed. They assassinated the last politician that went after them...gunderwood wrote: I was being cheeky by pointing out that certain politicians and members of the Fed/commerical banks probably have other thoughts on how good of a choice Ron Paul is.

Yes I do and in the 2008 election I could not and would not vote for McCain or Obama and found the Constitution Party candidate Chuck Baldwin more in line with my values. This last election I did vote for Keith Fimian for his views on the 2A and i wanted Connolly out of office.CowboyT wrote:My concern is that if they do fall back into old habits, most conservatives will simply vote in the same ol' Republicans again instead of actual Constitutionalists.
