Re: Reloading Supplies
The beginner should buy in boxes. I reloaded to get the best accuracy out of my loads. It took me several months to get the ideal recipe for my hunting rifle (30-06), but once I found it I could shoot 1/2 inch spreads at 100 yards. I then did that with several more weapons (not 1/2 inch, but good pa...

I have sold all of my powder, brass and primers but I have everything else one would need and dies in many calibers (9mm, 45 auto, 270Win, 30-06, 243, 38 ...

Yep,
Vahunter is 100% correct on the reason for no Sunday Hunting. Heck, in South Carolina it used to be illegal for stores to be open on Sunday (Called the Blue law).

Hunt Club Membership available in Spotsylvania
Paytes Hunt Club is now accepting new members. The land is over 1000 acres and leased from a timber company. You will have unlimited access to the land during non-hunting seasons. Some members ride the trails on ATVs or horses and most take advantage of the informal and uncrowded shooting range. You...

Re: New Handloader/Reloading junkie
Shot my hunting hand loads to sight in my 30-06 last weekend. Two out of three were within 1 inch of each other and both about 1/2 inch from dead center at 100yds (one on each side about 1/4 high.) The third one was about two inches to the left of center (about the same height), but that one was sho...

Yeah, but I also want him to know what is coming and FEAR it. I think about that poor woman at the home depot and that little boy he shot, along with all the rest, ... I still think of that murdered woman at Michaels in Fredericksburg - every time I pass by, which is often. There is no excuse for s...

Re: Revolver or Pistol
It really depends on what you are using it for. I would go with "Both" I like carrying a S&W 38 special snubby (637) because of its size. If I need more that 5 shots, I'm way over my head anyway. Course I wouldn't want to lose my Kimber Team Match II either and if I knew I was in dange...

That's when it usually gets hard to close the bolt. But If by beyond you mean a shorter OAL, yes Iv'e tried it and sometimes it works better than touching the lands. Depends on the rifle. I experimented over the weekend and the shorter OAL didn't seem to change my results. I am pleased with my load ...
