Re: Gun/Pawn Shop with used revolvers near Fairfax
I was looking for a pre-model K22. I ended up making a trade on VA gun trader. I'm still unimpressed when I visit the local stores-more so since the panic started. I've been to All Shooters-pretty decent selection of used guns there.

Should drop to $25 once you get your longer term membership. That's as cheap as it gets for a brick and mortar store around here.swollengoat wrote:SS charges $40

Re: Tyrant Alert - Gerald Connolly Responds
Had the chance in 2010 but nominated Fimian (who only lost by 500 votes). If the R's had been reasonable and nominated Herrity, we'd probably be free of Connolly. Now he's a three termer with name recognition-he'll be difficult to dislodge.

Seeing as this is the "want to buy", and not the "want to be critiqued by those who have no knowledge of my needs or intentions" section, I have a Ruger LCR-22 up on another forum: http://www.vaguntrader.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/436096/Re_WTT_WTS_Ruger_LCR_22_in_NOV#Post4...

Gun/Pawn Shop with used revolvers near Fairfax
I'm wondering if anyone knows of a shop with a decent selection and turnover of used revolvers near Fairfax. I'm specifically interested in Smith & Wessons. I've been to Sharpshooters, Nova Armament and VA Arms, and while they sometimes get a few in, they aren't really what I'm looking for.

Re: Got stock in a gun manufacturer?
I bought Ruger a few months ago. It's up a bit and pays a decent dividend to boot.

Re: FFL Transfer Fees in NOVA
Teutonic Arms (top of the list here: http://www.gunbroker.com/FFL/SearchForFFL.aspx?st=Zip%20Code&sv=22079 ) does transfers for $20. I've used them for transfers on two occasions. They're not a brick and mortar store but I've found them easy to work with, and they communicate through e-mail unli...

Re: .22 Pistol Recommendations
One thing to consider is an 8round 22LR revolver. Smith and Wesson and Taurus make one. There's always a Ruger SP101 or LCR in 22, also. +1 for the LCR .22, especially if there may be a goal to use it for defensive carry. I have the LCR .22, and it is a total pleasure to shoot. Also, since it requi...

Try Sharpshooters in Lorton. They just renovated and now allow assault rifle calibers. They've always allowed and rented rimfires.

Re: Where can I find a Marlin 1894CSS?
LOL. I've been looking for one for MONTHS. Marlin was bought by Remington in or around 2007. They closed the Marlin plant in North Haven, CT last year, with the intention of making Marlins in Ilion, NY. The rumor is the transition went horribly, and they aren't even shipping 1894 C's or CSS's. For a...

if anyone in nova around springfield knows of a walmart that has guns let me know! hahah The closest Wal-Mart I'm aware of near Springfield that sells guns is in Warrenton, though I haven't checked out the ones near Fredericksburg. All of the Dicks in Nova sell firearms. You also might want to chec...

Re: Is it just me or is this crazy???
Who pays more social security and medicare? Is the cap still 108k on that? I haven't been self-employed in awhile so I stopped caring to keep track. Well, I could take the government line and say that SS and Medicare/aid are mandatory participation programs and not actually taxes, but since our ove...

Re: Is it just me or is this crazy???
Btw, IRS data reveals that the top 1% of taxpayers currently pay more than then lower 99% all added together How is that mathematically possible? It is mathematically possible if the top 1% of earners pay more than 50% of the total personal income tax burden. My info has the top 1% paying 38% of th...
