Re: Renew CHP
My CHP was to expire Oct. 30. I mailed in the renewal application on July 9th. I received my new CHP on August 5th, 27 days. The CHP expiration date is October 30, 2019. So they got that right. Nice job Fairfax County.

Same here. I feel Armed Citizens Legal Defense Network is better. I think you can get only a magazine subscription now without actually joining. Either way. Get ready for the spam attack!

I think it was the stance and the crushing grip that did it for me. Had a more stable platform and was able to control the recoil better! It was fun!

Re: Went to the range today
I was able to take the MAG-40 class in Sept. Mas Ayoob started out with his 5 point checklist of firing a handgun. It helped me a lot! I found an article by him in Gun Digest from 2009. It spells it out pretty good. Give it a try. http://www.gundigest.com/handgun-reviews-articles/tactical_combathand...

There is a house or two for rent in West Springfield between Old Keene Mill and the Fairfax County Parkway, either side of Rolling Rd. Not sure about basement though. Houses were built in 1960's. Still pretty good neighborhood. Bus goes right down Rolling Road to the Metro and another one through Gr...

I think the only opinion that counts is yours. I believe you should carry the highest caliber that you can successfully control. You could rent one of each caliber and see how you handle them. This would give you a better idea of what to choose.
