My CHP was to expire Oct. 30. I mailed in the renewal application on July 9th. I received my new CHP on August 5th, 27 days. The CHP expiration date is October 30, 2019. So they got that right. Nice job Fairfax County.

I think it was the stance and the crushing grip that did it for me. Had a more stable platform and was able to control the recoil better! It was fun!

I was able to take the MAG-40 class in Sept. Mas Ayoob started out with his 5 point checklist of firing a handgun. It helped me a lot! I found an article by him in Gun Digest from 2009. I think the only opinion that counts is yours. I believe you should carry the highest caliber that you can successfully control. You could rent one of each caliber and see how you handle them. This would give you a better idea of what to choose.
