bullsh*t report on cbs this morning

Post by davasmith »

So I'm watching cbs this morning and a segment about the one gun a month comes on. The reporter started the segment with a lovely story of a secueity guard who got shot in the back of the head. This naturally is followed up by "the" ny a**hole saying that guns are being shipped to ny by people who buy more than one gun a month in va. Then he says he wants to hear what we have to say, so I log onto wtvr.com to leave him my thoughts but couldn't because to leave him your thoughts you have to have his exact email or phone number to text. Seems kind of shady to me. Does anyone know how one could get ahold of this bag of hot air? They obviously have the air time to b*tch about doing what's right so I think it only fair to let the honest, patriotic, law abiding citizens express our opinions. I would love to cram cbs' email with pro no one gun amonth letters.

Dont waste your time man. You cant educate every uneducated person (wish I could though...). Even if you educate him on our strict gun laws, he will still remain a dummy. True story bro :D

I found a link to the story.. http://www.wtvr.com/news/wtvr-marks-tak ... 8397.story

The reporter is all over the place and making assumptions too numerous to mention.

Others with factual knowledge of the event are already chiming in on the comments section.

I would suggest you comment as well. I would not make any statements of fact based on the reporters assumptions. Attack the reporter for his shoddy reporting and assumptions.

But most of all, keep your cool. Don't throw explicatives or rant. Stick to facts.

Dude, it's CBS. You don't need to qualify their B.S. reporting by saying "this morning." It's all B.S., all the time, pretty much.

Watching/listening to their news reporting was your first mistake. I'm sure it ruined your morning.

I never understood Bloomberg's plea for tougher gun laws in Virginia because people were allegedly buying multiple guns per month in Virginia and bringing them into New York. Then there are the “sting” operations he mounted in Virginia to catch gun dealers selling guns for transshipment to New York. This yankee busybody has expended a lot of time, effort and money to trump up a case for tougher laws abridging the gun rights of Virginians.

My question is this: If the problem in New York really has any nexus at all with pistols legally sold in the Old Dominion, why doesn’t he use some of all that time, effort and money he’s been wasting in a constructive manner and trace the guns to their original purchasers? If there really is anybody in Virginia that’s buying multiple guns a month and selling them into NY for use in crimes, wouldn’t it show up pretty dang quick? Or better yet, why doesn’t he contract with Virginia to lodge NY prisoners at a couple of our prisons and see what happens if they actually throw their felons in the calaboose with an expectation of actually pulling their time? I won’t suggest they re-establish the death penalty, because if they did they’d probably find a way to make conservatism and possession of common sense capital crimes.
