I don't know if this is a record or not, but I dropped my renewal form amd check at the Franklin County Court House on 7/17/14 and received my new one by mail on 8/2/14.

Got mine in 10 days. Know multiple people in my county (Rockbridge), with similar timeframe.
But hey.... 10 days.... 16 days..... all pretty darn good imo. Some of the big urban areas, people are waiting the max or close to it.

Sent my renew app to Virginia Beach via snail mail and received permit in SIX days.....Amazing News Flash..................."Government Does Something Right!"

My CHP was to expire Oct. 30. I mailed in the renewal application on July 9th. I received my new CHP on August 5th, 27 days. The CHP expiration date is October 30, 2019. So they got that right. Nice job Fairfax County.
