Re: Green Top refuses to play ball, again
I've never bought anything from GT until recently. I bought an over/under new. It's a Stoeger and yes I know it's a stoeger. So, a week went by and then I took it out to shoot doves. While out in the field I noticed that the bluing on the receiver had worn off a little. The sales person said it was ...

Re: Daniel Defense DDM4V3 FTE
1:7 twist rifling is the standard rifling of the U.S. military in all rifles intended to fire the M855 and M856 ammunition, the 62 grain ball and tracer ammo, the M16A2 being the first. before it the M16A1 had a 1:12 twist for 55 grain M197 ball and M196 tracer. The 1:7 twist won't create any issue...

Re: Daniel Defense DDM4V3 FTE
For starters, when you try to complain about a problem, spell it out completely. FTE could mean failure to extract or failure to eject. Since you are saying FTE and stovepipes, I am guessing you are talking about failures to extract. a stovepipe would be a form of failure to eject. There are two co...

Daniel Defense DDM4V3 FTE
Just wanted to see if anyone in here has any idea why my 1.5 year old DDM4V3 has FTE issues. It doesn't do it all the time but it does it enough for me not to fully be comfortable with it if/when I may need to go to it for something besides putting holes in paper. Here's the story. First off let me ...

Re: Sons of Guns and Law Enforcement
Personally, I believe that the citizenry should have access to any weapon that is available to the police force or the military. It's one of the ways in which we are to keep our government in line. Well, if you have enough money and connections, you can. But I think your point is that we shouldn't ...

Sons of Guns and Law Enforcement
So I've thought about this a number of times while watching the Discovery Channel show, "Sons of Guns" and while I think that the show is definitely entertaining, I always ask myself, "why would police need a mark 19?" And then I think to myself, "how are we as a populous su...

Re: Fort Lee POW Range
Had a great day sighting in my new DDM4v3 today. It was my first time at this range and for the price it's a great deal. The range officers are welcoming as well as the other shooters. If you haven't been to this range yet, you're truly missing out. Open on Sundays only.

Looking for Daniel Defense dealer in central VA
I'm basically looking for a local shop that sells Daniel Defense complete rifles. I've seen their rifles on Impact Guns go from $1199 (DANIEL DEFENSE DDM4V2) and up. Can any locals shops be this competitive on pricing? I would rather give a local shop my money than giving them just a FFL transfer fe...

Re: New Range in Richmond
It is fact that this range is opening in the west end of Richmond. I personally spoke to the owner. Super nice guy. From what he told me, it sounds like Dominion better upgrade their facilities or they're probably going to close within a few years. This facility will be all state of the art. I'm ima...

Re: Weapons Training(Magpul Dynamics)
Thanks for all of the recommendations. I'm unfamiliar with all of the training institutions in VA so I guess I'll have to start inquiring as to what they have to offer. What I do like about the Magpul classes that even the beginner course is taught with a "combat mindset". I understand tha...

Weapons Training(Magpul Dynamics)
So, I've been looking to take some classes to learn some tactical and fundamental skills with my handgun and carbine. I really couldn't find a lot in VA and the places I did find didn't strike my interests at all. Is anyone familiar with Magpul Dynamics? http://www.magpuldynamics.com/training/weapon...

Re: Indoor Range in West End Richmond!
I think it would be great but the cost of doing business out there is insane. You'd have to charge exorbitant prices to stay open. Not to mention the cost of insurance would be out of control. Also, the local politics on that side of town would probably freak out. Maybe west of Shortpump; Goochland ...
