Re: My new wheel gun!
I carry a wheel gun when wife and I go hiking.....S&W model 66, loaded with snake shot and .357 mag rounds alternating. Never know when you may run across a rattler.

Re: Article: Army wants a harder-hitting pistol
Betcha it will be a 40 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I doubt it will be the .40, there are issues about it's stopping power with ball ammo. And wear issues. It appears the .45 is leading the discussions, but we may see a tupperware .45 rather than a 1911 format, due to ease of cleaning, etc.

Virginia surprises me. I thought far more here would carry. I came from Indiana...where it's very common to have an LTCH (License to carry handgun).

The EPA is having trouble keeping its employees from pooping in the hallways! HAHAHA! Get one of the speed strip kits for it, makes it much easier. I love it on mine.UnderwaterMike wrote:I have a Mark III 22/45 and love it. It's my favorite gun but, as you mentioned, a total PITA to strip.

Welcome to VGOF! :welcome:  As to open carry in Virginia, you can OC without permit. As to how well that will go over in Arlington, I'll leave that to a member that lives there to comment on. Just make sure you know the law and your rights, and as always use good judgment. http://www.handgunl...

Yes, it's true, I'm a Marylander. I'm active on MDShooters but wanted to start poking around a forum exclusively dedicated to VA as I might be looking to escape the madness that is the political reality in Maryland. VA is a good choice. I relocated out here to the DC area last fall.....after lookin...

I have a nice spring assisted S&W knife, it is EXTREMELY sharp, and it holds it's edge very well. I think it ran around $50 bucks or so.

Re: "Dude, it was like two years ago!"
There is no ambiguity no doubt. This administration committed an unmitigated fraud against the American people in order to win an election. What is worse is that they imprisoned a man to support their fraudulent actions. They let four people die when they could have saved them including an Ambassad...

It's not just people that carry, there are a lot of LEO's that don't have a clue about what the laws are regarding carrying.MarcSpaz wrote:Good read. I'm shocked there are people out there who don't know you can't carry on a plane.

Re: Holster for a Ruger Mark III Hunter?
I ended up buying the COWS holster. (http://shopruger.com/COWS-MARK-I-II-III-Holster-with-Magazine-Holder/productinfo/50184/) Took it with a few times in the woods. Comfortable and nicely retained. Didn't see any squirrels, though. Lots of deer. Sigh. I wish they made that in left handed. Congrats ...
