Have a few questions as far as obtaining FFL....
Hello there.... I live in the Monterey area (Highland Co.); and the thought has really been crossing my mind here lately about taking some courses in the gunsmithing field. I was out with a hunting buddy this past week; and the firing pin in his .30-06 went bad; and he was griping about the fact he ...

Re: Hey all....
This does definitely help me out with a lot of questions I had; thank you ..... other than the one as far as using .50 cal pre formed pellets in a .54 caliber. I see that 100 grains seems to be right in the middle of the load charts and would really like to use that as my charge. Just really do not ...

Re: question pertaining to open carry Vs. concealed carry
Thank you for the replies.... especially you fireman bob. When I went back and reread my original post, I can understand exactly what you were referring to. First off, if I were to tuck it into the waistband; I would definitely use some kind of IWB holster for it. I am not some young "gang-bang...

question pertaining to open carry Vs. concealed carry
Hello all. I purchased my first pistol today, and want to express my rights by carrying. I recently moved from NJ; where it was almost impossible for any "common" citizen to get a permit to carry. I am a little confused as to the whole Open/concealed carry thing. At what point does open ca...

Trapshooting sponsorships???
I used to belong to a gun range up in NJ and participated in quite a few trap tournaments, and now that I have found a trap range down here in VA that hosts ATA registered shoots, I am thinking of taking my shooting to a whole new level. I would love to be able to compete in a majority of the shoots...

Looking at a .22 pistol for the ol' lady......
Hey all... I have finally been able to break my fiance's fear of guns; and we have been to the range numerous times (shooting mostly my Mossberg 702 plinkster). She has shot my Ruger LCP 9mm a few times; but with her carpal tunnel syndrome, she complains for a few days after the fact about her wrist...

Hello Bob.... welcome to the forum. If you happen to be in the western "highlands" area of VA (Highland or Bath County); hit me up sometime. Always find it pretty cool to meet up with others to put a face with the name.

Re: Interested in getting into trap shooting....
I have seen that Dick's website has a "value Pack" of Winchester Super X (which my gun seemed to really like in #6 shot during rabbit season) of 100 rds for 27.99....... recently have quit smoking, so thinking I may spend the 45 - 50 bucks a month I was spending on cigs on ammo instead. I ...

Re: Interested in getting into trap shooting....
One final question.... The club that I plan on shooting at hosts 1 shoot a mont from April - November (8 months). I am planning on getting out to as many of these shoots as possible.... Would it be more financially sensible to just buy my shells in bulk (Say a few boxes of 250 from an online retaile...
