Re: With new Gov, what do you anticipate as far as changes?

I think a better question would be: What are the realistic chances of getting a pro-2A gov next time. McA is a loss.

Re: VA transport laws

IMHO, if you're a resident, get a CHP. Makes things easier.

This was disappointing, but not surprising.

Car holster

Anyone else have a holster mounted in their car? I'm considering mounting something solidly in my center console of a mazda Cx9. Interested in neat ideas -- and photos.

Re: Renewal of CHP in Fairfax Co.

Yeah, I got my CHP in about 25 days in Fairfax. They certainly don't always go the full 45. I suspect it's more based on work load. FWIW...

Re: Finally switched over to IWB

I did the same recently, using an Osborn Holsters IWB. It's my first IWB and I'm a fan. I never realized just how comfortable they actually were. Very glad I made the switch.

USCCA anyone?

Still pretty new here and to handguns in general. Got my G17g4 for personal/home protection primarily, however. As a result, I've been spending a lot of time on fora like this as well as Youtube and other sources of safety-related information and training. Along the way, I encountered a group called...

Re: OC question

Good discussion here, thanks. My CHP application should be about 1/2 way done by now in any case, but my main motivator for doing it is so that I don't accidentally run afoul of the law. It is very confusing, and I want to ensure I follow the rules appropriately -- having the CHP seems to give me so...

Re: Sharpshooters in Lorton

@WBlacklidge, thanks for the review. Your experiences there are pretty similar to mine. I'm a new customer at Sharpshooters and have been quite happy with what I've gotten for my money. I compared the price of the handgun I wanted (G17g4) and the ammo they sold. In each case, I would have only saved...

New member intro

Greetings all. I'm a new member here, so I thought I'd say hello. I've been around firearms for many years, but am new to handguns (Glock 17 gen 4). That said, I've taken a safety class at my local gun shop, and plan to take a couple of the NRA personal protection courses as well. CCP applied for as...
