Incase the worst happens, have the following items on hand:RICHMOND, Va. - State emergency officials on Monday urged residents along the coast to prepare for Hurricane Earl, which is expected to remain a strong storm as it approaches Virginia later this week.
The U.S. National Hurricane Center says Earl, a Category 4 storm that formed Sunday, was already a major hurricane with sustained winds of 120 mph. Officials said it is expected to be a Category 3 or 4 storm when it nears Virginia on Thursday or Friday.
