You can thank the media for this. They lied about what the bill changes. They gave everyone who didn't bother to read or research for themselves the impression that CC permit holders can carry and get drunk at the same time, etc.

We have to keep our cool and explain the facts. Be knowledgeable and polite. I find that once I explain what the bill actually did, most people don't care about it any more.

Yes but the hard core antis and the media dont care about the truth. The media only cares about sensationalism and the antis only care about making our guns go away.
No more catchy slogans for me...I am simply fed up...4...four...4...2+2...

Style Weekly, which runs Lauterback's column, chimed in with the following in today's edition:
Concealed-weapons permit-holders celebrate their new McDonnell-given right to carry guns into bars as long as they don’t drink alcohol. We’re not worried, ’cause you can smell these gun-toting crazies a mile away: When you get a whiff of deer-urine-soaked camouflage mixed with PBR breath and the desperate scent of loneliness — run.

I for one don't smell like deer urine; I smell like Hoppe's #9.

Except that Qdoba and Chipotle both serve alcohol for on-site consumption.

Not liquor, but they do serve beer.

However, every one of the locations I have visited has never said a word about my OCing. I have sat right next to VB and Norfolk police without them so much as batting an eye.

This dou*henozzle needs a serious attitude adjustment. I understand he has had some second thoughts and discovered that his "opinions" may not reflect those of the establishment for which he is employed... and he may be in further trouble for threatening violence against law-abiding citizens, even if presented as a vagary.

I want a bumper sticker for my truck that says, "I'm one of those gun 'totin crazies YOUR govt warned you about."

I'd put it right underneath the lettering my wife had done for me that says "Doesn't play well with others"
"SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, EITHER STAND BEHIND THEM OR STAND IN FRONT OF THEM".
