Any one who has researched the Quran, History of Islam, Ottoman Turks, etc will have a very difficult time defending the idea that we should welcome Muslims into this country with open arms, and to do otherwise would somehow work against our founding principles or our Judeo-Christian morality. Islam seems to be the enemy of non-Muslim mankind, pure and simple. Please do more reading if you do not agree with my comment. Americans seem to be asleep on this matter.

John, I agree fully. I don't want to import completely unvettable people into the country. I don't want to bring people into the country who are vetted and found to have a propensity toward violence based on their belief system. In fact, I think we need to shut the borders down 100% for the next 30-40 years.
The problem is, at least in my humble opinion, there should be an attempt to develop a solution that does not include killing 1.6 billion people because they disagree with the rest of the world. That is exactly what Hitler wanted to do with the Jews. Not only is that unfathomable, but what if some time after that the world decides that the US is no longer desirable? Or Christians? Or Jews? Sounds like a pretty bad day.
