I'm a 1911 guy. I fell in love with the trigger.
If you're looking to purchase a new gun, only you can tell what is right. Does it fit your hand? Is the recoil manageable? ETC...
Revolver or Pistol

CLEAR DOWNRANGE!!!
Re: Revolver or Pistol
I would've liked to vote for both. Each one offers its own pros and cons. I carry a G36 but looked hard at a revolver chambered in .45-70, unfortunately finding the difference between wallet and price tag too great.
Re: Revolver or Pistol
I voted Revolver. My favorite revolver is the S&W 617-4, 10-shot .22LR, 6" barrel, pre-lock.

I'm with you. I've loved 1911's since my Navy days...but then...I like revolvers too. I know! I'll get both...eventually.

Re: Revolver or Pistol
Have both, shoot both. But my absolute favorite is my Ruger Blackhawk .357, something about it just seems made for my hand. Like maybe I carried a single action in a previous life. My first handgun and still my favorite. If I could find a good CC holster for it it's probably what I would carry! Anybody make a good ITWB holster for a 4-5/8" bbl single action wheel gun?
