Actually, my OP was to point out the Pro 2nd A stances of Ken which are numerous I might add.
There's lots that is wrong with the GOP. I've been inside the party fighting for the last 4 years for more conservative platforms, and for candidates who are actually conservative and stick by what they say.
No one will ever match up with your personal view 100%. And, I fail to see how a supposed philosophy against BJ's ( and I mean supposed) trumps so many other issues.
Sarvis is Pro-BJ, that's great it, it really is. But, there is exactly 0% chance that he can do anything about it (disregarding the fact that none of the candidates could do anything on that subject at all because current law makes it illegal to outlaw it). So, it's a non issue, but please be pure.
If you actually want to make a real difference, get involved in the primary process across for the GOP. 3000 people picked my current Delegate candidate, he ousted a 20 year GOP incumbent who was a tax raising RINO by 500 votes. My vote and working for him mattered 2 months ago. 10,000 people across the state picked our Gov, LG, and AG nominees for the party at the RPV Convention. 3000 people who had never been involved in the party before mattered a heck of alot at that Convention. If you are involved, you are 1 in 10,000, not 1 in 3 or 4 Million.
I voted for Bob Barr in 2008 over McCain. Hated McCain, still do. But, voting for Bob Barr was like p*issing into the wind; it felt good, but all I got was a wet leg. Voting for Sarvis this November will only accomplish the same thing.
The GOP needs to change, but it takes good people who are willing to roll up their sleeves and do the hard work for that to happen.
