U.S. Navy, R.I.P.
It's official, what was the greatest navy in the world has been reduced to a spineless pile of P.C. drivel. We might as well lower the flags to half mast and start playing the Village People.
Michelle Obama to sponsor first all-female nuclear submarine, U.S.S. Illinois

Let's not forget the recent USNS Cesar Chavez or the proposed USNS Harvey Milk.
Time to set a course for FABULOUS!

Seriously though the girls will have shortened patrols due to "visitors" each month. What a crock~! I don't mind pink camo on women though, and will be looking for the first edition calendar. There is no shame they will not bare in hopes of getting re-elected. Lol as much as it hurts.....

First, if restricting a crew to all men is a no-no, why isn't restricting a crew to all women equally a no-no? That's just another one of those nuances of the liberal mindset that eludes me, I reckon.
Second, (and speaking of the lunar-cyclical "visitor"), it is a well-known fact in all environments where women work closely together (particularly where there is stress in the workplace) that they tend to "synchronize" over time. In the closed environment of the submarine, I can only imagine that would be a more pronounced phenomenon (all those hormone-generated pheromones bottled up and repeatedly recycled in a submerged sub, no doubt). Posit a deployment of several lunar cycles' duration. With that in mind, now cast your imagination in the direction of the mass-hysteria-like effect of all that concentrated PMS bitchiness in charge of a nuclear-armed warship.
HAS THE NAVY LOST ITS FREAKIN' MIND?????

I'm just going to be crude here. Imagine, a sub full of hot women, not a man in sight. According to the following article, the sub will not have an all female crew, after all.

As someone commented on the linked site, the Cear Chavez to get the brown vote, and the Harvey Milk to get the gay vote.OakRidgeStars wrote:Maybe someone can explain these two...

Harvey Milk http://moonbattery.com/?p=11880
From the article:
"Chavez, whose family moved from Mexico to modern-day Arizona before it was a state, co-founded the National Farm Workers Association, which later became United Farm Workers. In California, his birthday, March 31, is a state holiday. His widow and six children, along with dozens of other relatives, received a chance to tour the ship earlier."
HMMMMM....... Kind of leaves me wondering if any of them stayed on the ship and are now demanding to be made crewmembers without joining the navy.

Re: U.S. Navy, R.I.P.
The original story is so full of holes you can drive through it. However, i can hazard a guess that if a single female crewperson was to serve on a VC sub, the whole crew, or a vast majority, would have to be female. Attack subs are just too small to have 'co-ed' accomodatons.
Re: U.S. Navy, R.I.P.
Do you really think that there is enough experienced female submariners in order to staff the entire crew of a sub?
Females have only recently been integrated into the sub crews, and myself I don't think that there are enough experienced Female submarine officers and crew members to fully staff the sub with all females yet. Now maybe in a few years they will have the numbers, but you are looking at least 4 or 5 years down the road.

Nuclear ICBM's rendered large standing forces (naval or ground) obsolete anyway.
Kabul or Baghdad could've been handled in a nanosecond.
Incidentally, how will the women operate a sub when they should all be in the kitchen anyway?

I have it on good authority that the helm will be installed between the stove and the dishwasher. Multitasking and all that stuff.
