Re: "Absolute Outdoors" gun unfriendly... gun store.
Just an FYI for anyone who cares. I drove by this particular gun store today. I didn't get a picture. But it looks like the sign in question was removed. I didn't see another one or smaller one similar anywhere else. Including the other stuff shown on the door in the old picture. There is no a "...

Re: "Absolute Outdoors" gun unfriendly... gun store.
The position of having some horses ass use their name and the 500 lb gorilla tactic in the same communiqué in order to attempt to sway the proprietor. Like it or not, his store, his rules. ...but I'm not gonna shop there either. Bottom line, two instances where VCDL Executive members or VCDL-PAC re...

Re: "Absolute Outdoors" gun unfriendly... gun store.
Folks, the business in question wants 749 for a used 3rd gen Glock 22 or a used XD. I've heard a guy behind the small gun counter argue that it's impossible to get a new one of those for over 200 less. It's a small gas station/deli/convenience store/barber shop/bait and tackle/hunting store located...

Re: Ron Paul Endorses Ken Cuccinelli
That's a good endorsement.
Polls are polls. But I have a feeling that if Cuccinelli loses. Sarvis will have a little to do with it.

Re: Finding a VZ 58?
Great info guys, I really appreciate it. Sounds like I should wait for Czechpoint to bring them back(I'll give them a call in about a month) and if I can't find any info on that I'll look for a Century in person. Seems like they are hit and miss from year to year and batch to batch. And yes I've de...

Re: Finding a VZ 58?
as recently as last year it was still the 'from date it left the factory'. They put out a BAD BAD batch of C93's and some folks got boned because it had sat on dealer/distributor shelves long enough. I'd be boned too. I'm not saying I'd never buy a Century put together gun. But I'd be very cautious...

Re: Finding a VZ 58?
Well. Like I said, they could have changed it within the last year or even two.
But that's what it was the last time I saw it. But regardless of whether Century has changed their policy or not. Ever doing it that way says something about their company and products.

Re: Finding a VZ 58?
You live around the Richmond area. Depending on where or when you get yours. Maybe we can get together and you can try one of mine out at a range. I suggest you spend the extra money and buy Czechpoint rifle. But if you do go the cheaper Century route. Take all the necessary precautions that one wou...

Re: Finding a VZ 58?
CZ made the original select fire, full auto version from about 1958 to 1984. CZ hasn't made one since. Though many are still being rocked by the Czechs (though being replaced by the CZ Bren 805 rifle), Slovaks and a number of other countries. The Czechs gave a number to Iraqi/Afghani soldiers during...

Re: recommendations for AR-15
The easiest answer. Get a Colt. Other top tier makers include Bravo Co., LMT, LWRC, Daniel Defense, Noveske, etc. Still decent options, but not "top tier" include Wyndam Weaponry, Stag, Bushmaster, Stag, DPMS, etc. If it's just for general plinking once a month, you could get one of the se...

Re: Kind of a strange question. Selling a handgun to a returning
Why would you not use a bill of sale? Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 Why would I have too? It's not required by law. If something was amiss, I wouldn't make the deal anyway. I've read the threads here about the BOS, so I know how "passionate" people are on both sides of the ar...

Re: Kind of a strange question. Selling a handgun to a returning
I didn't think so. From past experiences, I sometimes over think things. I've done private sales before in a couple states where I've lived, so no biggie. Just making sure. Thanks for the bill of sale link. I know that BOS' are a touchy topic. Sometimes I use them, sometimes I don't.

Kind of a strange question. Selling a handgun to a returning
This is kind of strange, I guess. I just want to be 100% positive, so I figured I'd ask anyways. I have a handgun for sale. And a returning military member is returning from overseas soon. They apparently sold off their firearms or didn't own any before they left. They want to be able to be a...

Re: Conceal Carry A Beretta 92FS/M9???
I've been carrying an M9 open and concealed (99% concealed) for about two years now. Sure, it's on the large side, but it can be done. If your clothes fit properly or a little bigger, than you shouldn't have a problem doing it. I do have a smaller gun or two that I can waistband or pocket carry if n...

Hello everyone.
Just checking in. I signed up several months ago after I just moved here. I'm from Virginia originally, but lived a number of years in another part of the country. Happy to be back permanently in the Commonwealth.
