Re: .40 Caliber @ Fairfax Walmart

$27.00 @50 seems to ring a bell on the 40-- I have expended about all my factory ammo and will venture forth tomorrow to start loading the 40 for my SIG. Will be looking for a load using RED DOT and a 165gr. bullet. This has been on the back burner fora couple of years while I broke the SIG in. It's...

Re: TRANSFERS

http://fflgundealers.net/transfer/virginia/ Check out the left hand side bar for a bunch of useful links. Along with the list of ffl gun dealers, you can even have them listed by zip code, if you are looking for a single location. I DID go there first. The site is WOEFULLY out of date-- wayyyyyyyyy...

Re: INTRODUCING "SARAH"

Head up, tail up, Sarah is proud to be doing her job. Wish the same could be said of some of the people I run into these days. At 10 weeks old today, Sarah is taking to her lessons like she was born to it- and so she was. Todays lessons were sit & stay. It took one try to show her what I ...

Re: INTRODUCING "SARAH"

Zoned in lol. Any recommended resources for dog training? Jake, I guess there are as many choices here as there are people looking. Everyone has their own ideas. I had never trained a dog when I got my first one Molly. The guy threw in an old copy of the NAVHDA book by WINTERHELT & BAILEY, the ...

Re: INTRODUCING "SARAH"

Even pups need a break from training. Sarah is 9 weeks old now and doing quite well in all her lessons. I couldn't really ask any more of her at this time. She has already pointed her first Grouse wings as well. :)

Re: INTRODUCING "SARAH"

HOMECOMING~ Well, Sarah said her goodbyes and arrived in Winchester in fine shape. It was a fairly quite ride home and Sarah proved herself to be a good rider. This is a good thing because we do a lot of it. After a long day, she is now resting asleep in her upstairs kennel. She sure is smart. She a...

Re: VERGINIAN DRAGOON

JMHO, but if they are of the fixed sight flavor, that seems a bit much. It would be top dollar for the sighted version. Here is mine,(44MAG) and the rig that was made special for it by the big "B" brand name. All this from the late 70's, before the plant burned down. :( Never have had any ...

INTRODUCING "SARAH"

I know I don't get by here much, but I hope that will change. Unknown here, but I lost my last, of three German Shorthair Pointers almost two years ago. At the time, I said 'never again', well, being an old guy, 67 yesterday, I decided life was too short to be without a good dog so I started looking...

Re: Anyone hunt the WMA's?

Tried the one down on the way to Fredericksburg off Rt 17 once-- Supposed to be some Dove hunting-- No luck and no birds, until I was getting back in the truck a few hours later. :(
