Re: More IDIOT'S at the wheel!
Some of you guys sound like an old broken record. It is as if a lot of you cruise these boards looking for something to get mad at, or someone to be rude to. Do any of you disagree with him about the wars/conflicts from in the past 50 years? If so, maybe you could discuss that instead of acting chil...

Re: Ain't it funny how irony works sometimes?
I've not suggested in any way that coincidence negates irony. One of the most common examples of situational irony is a fire station burning down. The building falls victim to the very circumstance that is was erected to mitigate. There is no juxtaposition between "COWARDICE" and "YEL...

In what way was the outcome of your situation completely different from what would be expected?

That is a funny coincidence, but I don't believe it is irony.

Re: Another shot fired in the atheism-as-religion debate.
If everyone can agree on a definition of religion, then it should be simple to decide whether or not atheism is one. I don't believe it should be considered a religion. But when someone asks, "what religion are you?" I'm not going to say "I am not religious. I am an atheist." It'...

I can't talk bad about these people. They are doing more to protect my 2nd amendment rights than I am.

Re: VA-ALERT: Openly carried long arms - VCDL's position
Look at it this way: if we aren't free to do things that somebody, somewhere, thinks are "stupid," or "unreasonable," then we aren't free at all. I agree, but this becomes a tad more complicated when the people that think it's "unreasonable" wear badges or black robes....

Carrying halfway concealed
I'm sure this has been talked about before, but I still haven't heard the final word. What is the legality of carrying your firearm in a manner where it is partially exposed, or printing where someone may be able to identify it? Obviously I am talking about concealed permit holders.

Yeah LGC is over 3000 members now. The membership hold only started a few months ago and is supposed to last a year. As far as I know, it is the best range on the peninsula.

Re: How to freak out an Atheist.
Religions are sets of beliefs. Atheism is a single belief. The bible, being open to interpretation, can be used to teach different philosophy's. I could attempt to convince someone that they should stone homosexuals. It doesn't matter if you agree with this interpretation of the bible or not. That i...

Re: How to freak out an Atheist.
As far as nativity decorations or 10 commandments and such on government property, I don't have a problem with that as long as there's a star of David and Koran scripture right next to it. Fair treatment and all. Since most people tend not to be able to agree on that, I usually settle for not havin...

Re: How to freak out an Atheist.
I refuse to waste any more words on the nonsense coming from del. I will discuss the matter of tax dollars being spent where religion is involved. Would you want a charity that was funded by your tax dollars to introduce atheism to at-risk youth? If you are thinking "NO" then that would be...

Atheists do.
You must have a big ego if you think many atheists give a damn about your religious beliefs.
