Re: Range at "The Cove"
The Cove is a fun place to be. I went for the first time about 2 months ago and then again last month. Had a great time and never witnessed the wasteland they had before as i've seen the pictures and videos of the past. The drive is rough but I saw someone make it up there with a Kia Forte. I'm sure...

Re: S&W Shield 9mm opinions?
I remember when I first got my shield I would shoot low left. After a few more outings, I found that I was slapping the trigger because I am used to my lighter glock triggers. Before sending it out, shoot it a few more times over a few different range trips. You'll get used to the trigger and the pu...

Re: New Law? US Citizen requirement for Pistol Traiining?
My interest was level 1 Defensive Pistol Training, but even if you look at the site, Introduction to handguns require citizenship. What I don't understand is that Permanent residents are not considered foreign nationals. Even when I purchased my handguns from a LGS, I had to answer that questions. I...

Re: New Law? US Citizen requirement for Pistol Traiining?
I also sent an email after posting this last night asking them to cite the section of the law that requires citizenship to get pistol training. If that's the case and it is their policy, I will stop using their range along with the many friends and family that I've introduced to them. Suck because i...

New Law? US Citizen requirement for Pistol Traiining?
Hello all, I am a Permanent Resident Alien and my green card does not expire until 2017. My plans are to file for my Citizenship 1 year prior to its expiration. Legally, I am supposed to be a citizen as my mother became a citizen before I turned 18, but INS lost my documents but processed the check....

Re: New Ammo Purchasing Law or Policy for Dicks Sporting Goods??
I purchase ammo at Dick's because they are cheaper for their 50 rd boxes of blazer's which are $10.99. The cheapest Walmart has is $11.97 for 50 rds of federal unless they have the 100 rd value pack in which case, I load up to how ever much they allow me to buy which is usually 6 boxes. I have about...

New Ammo Purchasing Law or Policy for Dicks Sporting Goods??
So a group of friends and I have a range trip planned in the next few hours and we had an interesting experience. My friend who is Indian, permanent resident in the U.S went into the local Dick's Sporting Goods in Bailey's Crossroads in Northern Virginia to purchase ammo last night for our range tri...

Re: WTB S&W M&P9 Shield
Do you know how much those mags are going for? The short mags fit my fiance's hands so I wanted to get a few more. Do you know if they still have the shields in stock? I am going to wait until my PPQ holsters come in and see how much I can conceal it with my iwb holster. Then I'll make a decision o...

Re: WTB S&W M&P9 Shield
What?! Someone on Guntrader already bought and sold their shield?! That's outrageous! I got mine 4 days after it came out and now my g19 gives me the evil eye because I don't put her on in the morning! I'm glad your wife likes it. I know I love mine. Re: Just picked up a S&W M&P Shield
First range trip with the shield and the recoil is very manageable. It took a mag for me to dial in my sights and trigger pull. The trigger has a very crisp break but it did take some getting used to since I shot my PPQ before my shield. I did find that I jerked the trigger since the pull was a litt...

Just picked up a S&W M&P Shield
I was lucky enough to find a Shield on Vaguntraders from a member that has issues with the grip. Only 31 rounds fired though the gun before I purchased it. I bought it for my Fiance's conceal gun. Plan to shoot it at the range tomorrow with a friend. My fiance will shoot it monday when she comes bac...

Re: Sharpshooters
I've had nothing but good experiences with the sales staff and RO's at Sharpshooters. Their firearms are ridiculously over priced so I do not purchase firearms from them. The staff are friendly and RO's are attentive and from time to time will hand out some targets for us to try. In the last 3 month...
