Just picked up a S&W M&P Shield

Post by eternity059 »

I was lucky enough to find a Shield on Vaguntraders from a member that has issues with the grip. Only 31 rounds fired though the gun before I purchased it.

I bought it for my Fiance's conceal gun. Plan to shoot it at the range tomorrow with a friend. My fiance will shoot it monday when she comes back from a business trip.

Here's what she looks like with my PPQ

My wife saw that on the Outdoor Channel. Now she wants one. Which I'm totally down with, once she starts working again.

First range trip with the shield and the recoil is very manageable. It took a mag for me to dial in my sights and trigger pull. The trigger has a very crisp break but it did take some getting used to since I shot my PPQ before my shield. I did find that I jerked the trigger since the pull was a little heavier than my XDM and PPQ but once I adjusted and was able to squeeze the trigger, my shots fell into place.

At 7 yards, I shot a 3-4 inch group. One of my short mags I was able to shoot a 2 inch group at 7 yards. Grip was awesome, recoil was similiar to my PPQ and actually would have liked the PPQ signt picture on this gun instead of the 6oclock hold like my xdm.
