I'm not sure of your opposition to this.
Do you also oppose school resource officers?

Re: Store Policy or Law?
How many times do we hear people quote something they think is the law but they have no clue?
It's possible they are just ignorant to what is required or they really don't want the hassle down the road with selling to someone with a (to them) possibly altered license.

Re: What has happened to variety?
Gunshows here always seem to come on my work weekends. The last one I went to had a powder vendor with about 4 tables of powders at prices that no one here come near to matching. That one was worth it for me.

Re: .204 Ruger
I have the Ruger 77 V/T. .204 is a great round. Fast, flat shooting and very economical to reload. My fox load uses a 39 gr Sierra Blitz King at 3900 fps. I can get a single ragged hole with 5 shots at 100 yards with it and have taken foxes down at over 200 yards easily. I was setting up at the top ...

Re: .204 Ruger
I don't consider the .204 as overbore. I think the reports of burnt out barrels are pretty much overstated. Here's a good article on the .20 calibers.

Re: .204 Ruger
Not much information here. What ammo and bullet weights did you try? What is the twist rate of the barrel?
Did you clean the barrel? Could be copper or a carbon ring in it. Did you look at the barrel crown?

Fudds and non-voting conservatives are our worst enemies. And people who say "I seen" instead of "I saw", they suck also.

Re: Best Lawyers for protecting my gun rights?
I hear a lot of positive things about the United Self Defense Law firm from here in Virginia and know Cuccinelli is a great attorney and would have been an excellent governor (https://gundefenselaw.com/) But wasn't sure if I should sign up yet.. Does anyone have any recommendations? Ken? Is that you?

Re: Open carry in a National Forest
Oh jeez. • The second exception to this law allows people with a concealed weapon permit to carry a loaded, concealed , handgun either on their person or in their vehicle while on National Forest. This does not apply if the person is engaged in a primitive weapons season or chase only season.

Re: Open carry in a National Forest
Your information is not correct. The national forest is not a national park. The same rules don't apply.

I don't tell police anything I'm not legally obligated to. You're asking for trouble whenever you start to volunteer information.

Re: I'm starting to see more people open carry.
Both of those threads are pretty much factless and as far as bearing arms, we don't know why Trevor attacked Walker except for speculation. In the Richmond case I believe it wasn't actually known at the time if he was open carrying or not. I also find it hard to believe that someone can just come up...
