More proof the media lies

This is why I don't trust the media. In 2015, CNN said that firearm related injury was the fifth leading cause of death for persons between 1 and 64 in the US. However, CDC (the federal agency responsible for tracking this info) says that in 2015, death due to firearm related injury was so low that it ranked 10% lower than women dying due to complications from child birth. I wonder if we should outlaw having intercourse? I mean, if we can save just one life...

The Press is Incorrectly Reporting That VCDL is Supplying Legal Help to Ms. Storm Durham

We have seen the reports of Storm Durham's claim that she was fired by Roanoke Social Services for simply having a concealed handgun permit. We are looking into the claim, but until we have the facts cannot issue a statement. (VCDL Leadership has not been in touch with Ms. Durham yet.)


An article in the Roanoke Times has incorrectly stated, "Storm Durham said she is working with attorneys supplied by the Virginia Citizens Defense League, a Second Amendment advocacy group."


The paper has been contacted and has been asked to correct the story, as VCDL is NOT supplying any attorneys for Ms. Durham. The reporter is going to get back in touch with Ms. Durham to figure out where communications between them broke down. The reporter apologized for not checking with VCDL before putting in the statement, saying the article came out very late in the day.


Unfortunately, in the meantime, the Associated Press picked that story up and other papers are now have a similar, but equally incorrect, statement.


All we can think of is that perhaps Ms. Durham selected an attorney on VCDL's Gun-Friendly Lawyer list on our website and that's what she was referring to as a "VCDL supplied attorney."

The press here today has the same level of credibility (or even lower; we knew that those reporters back then were forces what to write) like the press in communist countries. No excuses for the reporters today.

I have all the News Channels blocked , except FNC.....Now I even limit myself to only short doses of FOX each day. Too much news each day can't be good for us .

The media, on both sides, plays into the "division is the distraction" routine. The general public are the target of both politicians and the media. In both cases, if the public is divided the media and politicians benefit.
