12 YEARS OF CAMPUS CARRY – RESULTS

Well, I just learned something. It seems that campus carry (allowing college students to carry concealed weapons on campus) has been legal in Colorado since 2003. http://tacticalted.com/blog/?p=102

I went and did it.

Well, I went and did it. I was at a gun show recently and bought a type of gun that I never thought made any sense.

Thanks for the positive reply's, guys. As for mister spam, seems there is one naysayer in every crowd. I guess out of all the articles I have posted I should feel proud that this was the one and only negative response I have received. Oh yes, this forum section is entitled - "Articles and Op-Ed...

LIGHTS AND LASERS – USEFUL SIGHTING DEVICES OR GIMMICK?

Living on a farm raising chickens, ducks, turkeys etc. can be very satisfying, however It can quickly turn to tragedy when predators start killing your animals. I was experiencing this and it was time to put a stop to it! What I decided I needed was a gun that could easily be brought into use at nig...

Re: BLUE STEEL BEAUTY AND THE SYNTHETIC BEAST

Good Read! Thanks Ted. I have 3 wood stock rifles. They are so nice to look at for sure... but how about the point that they even feel warm (as in welcoming). Modern tactical rifles are good for what they are, but I wouldn't be hanging one over the fireplace any time soon. That is something that I ...

BLUE STEEL BEAUTY AND THE SYNTHETIC BEAST

From rifles to shotguns to pistols, many of today’s guns have done away with wood stocks and, in the case of pistols, metal frames in favor of synthetic materials. The reasons for this are varied. In the case of shotguns, the reason was to increase durability in inclement weather. With rifles, the m...

Big Brother is at it Again!

Big Brother is at it again! I remember reading a while back of a concealed handgun permit holder from Florida who was driving through one of the northeastern states that didn’t allow guns to be transported through the state. He was stopped by a policeman and held up for three hours while the officer...

Tips on SIGHTING IN YOUR RIFLE

By Ted Snow First, you should always sight in a rifle using a sturdy shooting bench. Some of the portable ones on the market today are just too flimsy to be of any use. Models can be found that come with a movable arm that has a rifle rest attached. This rest can be positioned wherever the shooter n...

ETCHED, NON-ETCHED and PARALLAX in SCOPES EXPLAINED

OK, here goes. An etched reticle is simply on that is cut into the lens. A non-etched reticle was made of spider web (no joke) or steel wire. Perhaps the greatest advantage of an etched reticle is that it cannot brake the way a free standing reticle can. It is also easier to make an etched reticle w...

FULLY COATED, MULTI COATED, WHAT DOES IT ALL Mean?

When light hits a glass surface not all of it passes through to the other side, some of it is reflected back off the lens surface and because of this, some of the light that would have traveled to the viewer’s eye is lost. This light loss occurs anywhere there is lens to air contact. An uncoated len...

Re: No Rifles Larger Than .22 Explanation

I was an LEO and one must go by what the law specifically says. No matter what the intention, it's the specific wording that matters in court. I would not charge you for using a 22 centerfire as the law does not specify 22 rimfire. [ Post made via Mobile Device ] http://vagunforum.net/images/mobile....
