Re: BAD EXPERIENCE AT BLUE RIDGE ARSENAL
Just because it's a big range doesn't mean they don't have overhead. Most gun stores, would have laughed you out the door. They charged nothing for labor and only charged you for a spring. You bought a used gun refurbished or not...sound like a Progressive... Plus 1 to above post [ Post made via Mobi...

Re: range in Richmond.. Dominion?
I used to have an annual pass there, but it just got too seedy. The parking lot has big potholes that bottom out my car and the targets don't always work. It is always too dark in there for me to really see the targets. If they were the only place in town to shoot, then I would shoot there. But the...

Re: Cost for Annual Membership at Ranges in Richmond
FMJ only? So no HP/SP? I guess that means no practicing with your self defense/home defense ammo, or sighting in your hunting rifle. Pretty bizarre restriction, actually. CSA allows hollow points and defensive rounds, which by many are considered FMJ. It just common sense not to take steel tipped a...

A non Memeber or person who shoots for an hour still signs the same waiver members do and if the range safety officer suspects a problem...they can run a quick check...it is more of a "just in case"....safety issue for most of the newer ranges, an actual check is rarely run on anyone... [ ...

Re: Comments: Colonial Shooting Academy
The purpose of asking for permission to do a background check is now being instigated at the newer ranges around the country. The purpose is so in the event of problem or concern a person's background can be checked for an outstanding warrant or reason someone should not have a gun and is the same r...

Re: Green Top Sporting Goods
I think many of us in Richmond take Grééntops for granted. If I hear about another person driving a Sububan to Norfolk to save $20.00 on an AR, I think I will loose it! I think the prices in Grééntops are fine when you consider how knowledgable most of the employees are, they don't hesitate to fix s...

Can't compare Colonial to any range in Richmond Area..keep you own ammo, brass, group ammo buys and gun discounts for members, high tech ranges, make reservations.. Same price as Blue Ridge only better...need to look at Scottsdale Gun Club for a comparable range... [ Post made via Mobile Device ] ht...

A lot of people shoot steel out to 500 yds and some of the bulk ammo will work for that...I think you would have to step up from the brands mentioned...If I can find some of my old bulk ammo, I'll let you know what worked... [ Post made via Mobile Device ] http://vagunforum.net/images/mobile.png
