Re: One reporter in IL has it right
If someone even suggested to a reporter than he needed a permit before writing an article, he'd be screaming bloody murder. So why should be carrying a firearm be any different? The 2nd Amendment is a right, not a suggestion. Governments don't want us to have this right because its main reason is fo...

Re: Visual Aid - Boehner Debt Deal
I agree with the post that we should send them all home! The fed'l gov't is broken and the Tea Party just wants to fix it. Not a problem. The persons in power don't want to fix it because everything is working for them-- more money and power.

Good idea to hold the counter at "under 990" to go. Smart.

Why are CZ's so addictive?
It seems that one CZ isn't enough. They fit my hands well and run and run. And they are fairly reasonable in price. If you need custom work done, Ghost Products does excellent work. Just really pleased with their products.

Re: What does Carl do???
Watched "Person of Interest" on CBS Thursdsy night . Raised some excellent questions as to who's tracking us and what is done with the info. Good guys/bad guys? Do they really care? Or is it just a game to "them"?

Re: Kel-Tec Sub 2000, Glock 9mm
I bought my .40 S&W through Gallery of Guns. Price was reasonable. I got the one that uses Beretta 96 mags. Had some problems with FTF's (cheap Federal ammo). Found out S&B works better.

Re: AR-15 vs Mini 14
I'm interested in both also. One gun dealer prefers the Mini-14 in 6.6 SPC so he can use it for deer hunting. He also suggested the Mini-30 (in 7.62 x 39, I think).
I need to find someone with both and an area to shoot them before I decide.

Re: Striker fired vs. Hammer Fired
There is something about an exposed hammer that I apprectiate. Thumbing down the hammer isn't a problem for me as it seems to be for others. Cocked and locked may be "old school" but, makes sense to me.

Re: Gun safety classes in elementary schools
The discussion with the children should start with our 2nd Amendment rights and move on from there. We have a right (and duty) to protect ourselves and loved ones. This and proper training in the use of firearms (as is done with other tools) should be the foundation of the instruction.

But what rational person "plans" to fail? Oh, that's right, liberals aren't rational.

I've heard of supressor recommended simply to protect the hearing of police and soldiers at the range. Yes, there's alot of paperwork to go thru to get one. At this point I'll pass.

Don't have a Phantom but, do have its smaller brother, P-07 duty in 9mm. Just got it. Great shooter and very accurate. Recoil is very manageable. I am sure the Phantom is just as accurate and fun.

I was in the front yard last week when the "Google Cam" car drove through our neighborhood. My neighbor and I smiled and waved. We'll see if we end up on Google Earth.

Re: Have no fear, Eco Enforcers are here...
As a Kansas resident, not all of us feel this way. I'll conserve resources but, this goes too far. We weren't put on this earth to worship it. Rather we should be good stewards of all things. That being said, God did put lots of tasty animals here for us. And lots of beautiful scenery for us to see ...

Re: American debt
The debt is rising because politicians (Dems & Repubs) can buy votes with OUR money. Just look at our current administration. $1.7 Trillion budgetted OVER the expected revenues. The deficit has always been a spending problem, not a revenue problem. The entitlements (Social Security, Medicare and...

CZ's are great pistols. They fit my medium sized hands and eat everything. One problem. One CZ is never enough.
